Issues with first 400 miles, No problems after warranty service

The vehicle itself is fine, but my vehicle had issues with defective controllers that drained the battery, leaving me locked out of my vehicle at points. I will also say that working with Customer Affairs was largely uncoordinated but communicated reliably. Specifically, I could be assured that CA would reach out, or would provide their followup dates and times, which are great, but the information I was passed along from customer representatives to case managers to supervisor, some things were promised initially that were not explicitly stated in the policy, which was never passed to me. The supervisor was able to provide some things as goodwill.

I’m very happy with the car. The price was very fair. I just wish I had more controls over some of the alert systems. The message telling me to consider taking a break is very annoying and disruptive, and they’re absolutely should be a way to shut that off.

Love my Sonata Hybrid Limited

Have had our new Sonata Hybrid Limited for almost 2.5 mos. Getting a little more than 50 mpg combined. Have gotten to know most of the features. Love it. Have a 2013 Sonata Hybrid Limited that now has 181,000+ miles. Hoping to get similar service from my 2025.

Outstanding Upgrade

Upgraded from a 2022 Sonata hybrid. Hybrid had a solar roof which I was not too enamored with. Current 2025 Sonata hybrid has a sunroof which i greatly appreciate. I am still getting used to the gear changes on a stalk but is becoming second nature. Otherwise I greatly enjoy the Sonata hybrid. I love the way the hybrid increases the gas mileage and helps to reduce pollution.

Two major issues

I love lots of things about this car. I love all the tech, the look, the feel of the drive and the miles I can get on a full tank. BUT I don’t love tow things, one minor the other major. The minor issue: when I walk away from the car the doors do not lock. My last two cars had this feature, so I (erroneously) assumed this new fancy car would also have this. My automation car guy told me (and I read this) that the car could be programmed to do this. Wrong. Not a single person at Hyundai seems to know how to do this. The second issue which is major: after 4 days of not driving the car the battery goes dead. But wait they say, there’s a button inside the car that jumps the battery (no one told us that when we had AAA come to try and start it). The problem with this is 1) I can’t get in the car to do this without the physical key - and I DON’T use the physical key because I use the digital key (a feature I love). 2) getting the plate off the door handle to get to where the key hole is, is nearly impossible. Even the AAA guy had trouble getting it off. So now when I travel for a week and leave my car at the airport, I have to 1) take a physical key with me, and 2) spend time (possibly in the dark), trying to get the plate off to get to the key hole. If I had know about this feature, I probably would not have purchased this car. I’ve had only Honda and Toyota before. This is my first Hyundai. It’s likely to be my last.

151 Miles

Before I even had the new vehicle, it had 151 miles already. 2. Someone ate in the car while driving to the dealership. 3. In 52 years when I first drove a car, I never had ants. Yes, I said ants and the new Sonata Hybrid Limited has Ants!!!!!!! Inside-outside of the car. I reported my concern regarding Ants to the Hyundai dealership in Myrtle Beach the first week.

Very good car

I’m really enjoying my sonata. It rides smooth and quiet, and the lane assist and traffic warnings have been great. The only real weak point is the built in mapping which uses washed out colors and almost unreadable mini-font. I do most mapping through Appleplay.

Review of my 2025 Sonata

The safety of this car is so underrated! My car was totaled two weeks ago. Even though there was a city police officer one block away, the accident people were asking me what emergency services I thought I needed. I am sore, but I am alive because of the stability and safety features of this car. Remarkable!

2025 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid

I thoroughly enjoy driving my new 2025 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid. The ride is so smooth on freeways and city streets. Turning is easy with the power steering. It has quick forward acceleration from the hybrid battery. The outside and inside appearances are so stunning and elegant. And the safety features will automatically apply the brakes when forward and reverse dangers appear. The large 12 inch infotainment screen responses quickly and easily. Cabin temperature and window fogging are regulated by physical dials and buttons without the need to go into the infotainment screen. With Hyundai's 10 year lithium battery warranty and it's 5 year/60,000 miles new car limited warranty, I also get 5 years of Roadside Assistance and 3 years of Maintenance (oil/filter changes). Their warranties in my opinion are more numerous and better than other auto makers.

2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

I love this car and especially the rear view camera and gas mileage. What a significant change from my previous vehicle, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata SEL. I've had the 2025 Sonata Hybrid since late August 2025 and it is now early November. I am still finding new features or getting used to new ones and sincerely miss a few that were in the 2012 Sonata SEL and are not in the 2025. I would recommend it.

Major upgrade to my long daily commute!

I purchased my 2025 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to replace a 13 year old Nissan Altima that had served me well, but ultimately lacked many of the convenience features in more modern vehicles. Among the limited options in medium-sized sedans that still remain on the market, the Sonata impressed me most with it's smooth, comfortable ride/suspension, high-tech convenience features and an unbeatable maintenance/warranty program.
