Overview

I like my Tucson however my one negative is when I first got the car i would get a verbal warning when getting close to a red light camera. After awhile I stopped getting them. So I thought maybe it was a subscription but when I looked in the blue link I currently have both basic and advanced levels. I see no other place to add this. Then I submitted a form on my dealers website asking the question expecting to get a response. They called and left me a msg saying I was looki g for service and to call them. So many places these days the young do not read and understand. Very frustrating.

Our Hyundai Tucson is a very reliable vehicle however it is having some difficulty at this time. The dealer is taking care of it, but they do not have the part so we are without a vehicle for the last three weeks.

Great Car - a few minor issues

Overall the car has been great. The hybrid switching between EV mode and the engine is mostly smooth and unnoticeable except for when stopped on a steeper hill. Then the switch lags a little and the car jerks forward awkwardly. Gas mileage has been great. 34-35 in the winter and 39-40 in the summer months. The features in the Limited model are excellent including the panoramic sunroof and touchscreen, but I would love to see the Heads-up technology added to the Tucson. I miss it after switching from the Limited Santa Fe to the Limited Tucson Hybrid. The rear cup holders are much too small in diameter to hold a cup. They only work for slim plastic water bottles. Lastly, the backup alert sound is obnoxiously loud. I would love to be able to turn it down just a little. I live and work in an urban setting and I'm fairly certain it wakes people if I'm leaving early in the morning.
