Continuing to Enjoy my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited

I now have 25,000 mi and my car is two years old. I do like it better than my past two cars, both Audi A4's. Servicing is quick, easy and informative. Great mileage with regular gas is a savings. I was disappointed to have to call road assistance on two occasions, each after 10 days left in a parking garage, to jump my car. I learned later from the service staff that purchasing a "trickle battery" for my car is recommended, but that had never been mentioned to me. Also, removing the plastic (prying it off) on the door handle to access with a key when the battery is dead and remote is too, has proven to scratch that area. I also learned about the battery start switch from the service dept lady and will try it next time.

I regret getting this car

It look good and had features but it’s is annoying to drive because of all the quirks with the user interface. the electronics are always malfunctioning. The seat is very uncomfortable.

Adequate compact SUV

I've owned 3 compact SUVs (3 different makes) in the last decade, and this is my least favorite. I love that it is hybrid, and the back seat is spacious. I detest how much is controlled by touch screen. It is distracting to have to reset the climate control by looking at a screen (not the road). Not sure if it's just mine, or if all Tucsons are this loud...so much wind noise. The remote start is wonky (but that may be user error). This car gets me from A to B with good mileage and was within budget. It's ok, but I'll go back to Mazda or Honda before I try Hyundai again.

2 year evaluation

Very disappointed in several things: back up warning horn is way too loud and needs an alternative warning; poor paint quality; boring interior color choice (too much black); trunk liftgate created awful noise when closed because of latch misalignment; dealer's service department was told by Hyundai headquarters that I had to "just put up with it" because it was the nature of the latch. Luckily, dealer service tech found a workable solution.

Excellent car with one minor hitch

I love all of the safety features, roominess and handling of the Tucson. The hybrid engine is wonderful and gas mileage is great. Overall, I'm very happy with the car and have recommended it to 2 others who bought the same car. My only complaint is the manual key/lock mechanism. I travel for long periods and learned early on, that it's quite a procedure to unlock the car when it hasn't been used for a while. Now when I'm gone, I try to remotely Lock/Unlock it every few days so I don't have to use the key when I return but that doesn't always work. Bluelink isn't always responsive when I try to unlock/lock it and if I wait more than a few days, I've lost the Bluelink connection.

Subpar MPG for a hybrid

No major issues with the car but not impressed with the MPG at all. Averaging around 31 in Warner weather and closer to 25 in winter. Can get that out of a similar sized gas vehicle.

Hyundai Tucson Hybrid

I am very happy with my vehicle. I have had it for 1.5 years. I find the mileage very good. It rides comfortably. As a female not quite 5 ft tall the seat and steering wheel adjustments are my favorite options. I am able to not use a pillow and can comfortably drive the car. The option to be able to push the steering wheel in has been a game changer for me as I no longer am sitting right on top of the steering wheel which makes it safer for me to drive.

Love the mileage

The car is nice, with good mileage, however, the steering wheel is showing wear with less than 8k miles. Sad. And back up alert "beep" is so LOUD that leaving garage in early mornings it is intrusive to neighbors.
