Sept '26 Review of My Hyundai Hybrid

I have enjoyed my vehicle since I purchased it. Only a few items frustrate me. First: I don't understand why the radio doesn't stay on "Favorites" after the motor is turned off and then restarted. Many times, I am driving and realize my "Favorites" are not playing because I made a quick stop, turned off the car, and now my stations are no longer selected. Second: About once-a-week or so, when I am driving, I take my foot off the accelerator, and the car seems to brake itself a little. This happens again and again until I stop the car and drive again. I'm assuming the problem is related to the vehicle being a hybrid, but I'm not sure. It is an ongoing concern.

I can’t get it into cruise control.

I hate the lane assist. I have it turned off, because it pulls the car. I can’t get it to go into cruise control. I should be able to push cruise and it goes right in. Also, for a hybrid it averages 36 mpg

Overall generally love the car. Just a few nits. Can't see the controls in the daylight and nothing I found brightens them. Love the adaptive control, but don't like that I can't use it with polarized sun glasses. Wish there was some way to adjust the stopping time with the adaptive control. Seems like it doesn't slow down quick enough

This car fulfills all my dreams for a hybrid and more! The instrument panel was and is the ultimate final touch for me! My only wish /lament is that the door pocket is too narrow to hold my 24-oz Contigo water bottle.

Tucson Hybrid

Dashboard lights can't be seen on sunny day. Map on home page needs to be in color. My lane assistant turns itself on and off. I can't control it. Been into dealership4 times to fix this problem. Have to go again.

Car gets less gas mileage than advertised average is 36 combined sticker had it at 38 combined need bigger cup holders in back seat area I keep hitting the drive mode button because it sticks up to far features of using phone are hard to adjust when wife and I are using music features would be nice to change it with voice and should be able to adjust while driving especially the passager

Like everything about this vehicle except the fuel mileage. Fuel mileage is sub par for a hybrid. Very very rarely achieve EPA rated 35 MPH for any conditions.

Value for money

Hyundai Tucson is a good car and gives value of your money. Style / mileage/ colors / digital app to manage and monitor the car, all are perfect. Few things which I would like to get improved in next model update: 1. Faster cooling while the AC / Fan is running. 2. Anti Glare in side and back mirrors 3. Somehow Battery doesn’t charge fully 4. Side sensor / blind spot doesn’t update immediately even after the car in blind spot has moved away. 5. Front camera detects car and slows down the speed even after the car is very further away.

We love this car. It is the perfect size for the 2 of us. We have taken it from Wisconsin to the west coast and back again. It was comfortable for long 10-12 hour day drives.

Great Cross-Country Tourer for empty-nesters

My wife & I just completed a “Historic Route 66 cross-country tour” (Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA - about 5,000 miles there & back). The Tucson (Limited) held everything we needed for a 2 1/2 week cross-country cruise; it worked well in all climates; it worked efficiently in all geographic locations, altitudes, & speeds (25 to 80 mph) - 29 to 36 mpg. Interactive cruise worked well on the highway, as well as in LA traffic (it made for much more relaxed driving, in either case). The only thing that would have helped in a couple of cases, would have been yellow/amber fog lamps, which is not available on the Tucson. Otherwise, completely happy with our car & highly recommend it !!!
