Have had for two months and really enjoy this vehicle. Love the color Amazon gray. It drives like a more expensive vehicle. Has so many features and the gas mileage is very good. I highly recommend this vehicle.

First Hybrid Hyundai Tucson

This car is excellent on gas millage 38mpg. But the Information system and control of dashboard presets is difficult. We have 2 keys, my wife key fob #1 (This is Her Car) and I have a key fob #2 and the car does not recognizes each of us as we use the car. Example when I use my key fob #2 and enter the car and push the start button, the seat goes into my wife's seat setting from the memory seat position. This raises the car seat to a level where my head hits the ceiling. I'm 6'-1" and my wife is 5'-7". The same happens to my wife the seat goes way down. Why do the key fobs recognizes are seating positions correctly. The sales dept at Lake Norman Hyundai did not spend enough time showing us how to use these controls. I have gone online and the Hyundai videos do not help. I have stopped by for a recall on the new car and could not find anyone to help me. I'd be willing to make an appointment to help with the control of the system but can't find where to set this up.

Smooth Ride

It is a comfortable car. I love the cooled and heated seats. It is also very quiet. I don't like having to lock the car while it's in my own garage. That feature is annoying. I have to get the keys every time I want to remove or put something in the vehicle. The features and buttons are not as easy to locate as in my old car. It will take a bit more time to get used to where everything is. The voice recognition doesn't respond to my voice even when I speak loudly and in a deeper tone. Although it's my vehicle, it understands my husband. That is super frustrating. Also, I wish there were more color choices for both the interior and exterior. Every parking lot I am in has so many white cars. They all look similar. The Tucson has no way to attach a pompom or flag to help locate it in a busy lot. The glove compartment is much smaller than in similar-class cars.

Annoying start buttons (2) on infotainment screen

Overall, this is a very good vehicle. However, every time you get into the Vehicle on the entertainment screen, there’s two screens that appear that you have to press the start button or a confirmation button before you can start to use your radio or your CarPlay, etc. Every single time you get in the vehicle. And the second screen with with the start button on the infotainment that was only added through a software update after I bought the vehicle! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! Does Hyundai think I’m a complete moron and a complete idiot? Like I have to read that every single time I get into the vehicle vehicle? No, I’m not a dense like a lot of the engineers at Hyundai R. That they think Americans are so stupid that we have to read the same stupid message about be safe every single time we get into the vehicle! Fix it!

Like the ride, technology is a challenge at time, door lock from inside vehicle does not work, has had at least two recalls since we purchased 3 months ago, dealership service department I do not plan to return to.

Happy Overall. Minor changes would make it even better

Very happy overall. Would like a couple of things to be different. Side mirrors do not have an auto-fold capability. Drive mode preference is not preserved with driver settings (defaults to eco on start).
