Hard to beat the Taurus for space, comfort and reliability

A solid, spacious and comfortable vehicle. While whippy twang electronic doo-dads can be fun, I'll take a roomy, reliable vehicle that is relatively simple to service with reasonable maintenance costs. Sensors and warning systems, along with autonomous braking are certainly worthwhile options that are missing on a 2003 model vehicle, it will be interesting to see how well current models will stand the test of time in 20 years

Greatest car ford ever built.

Bought my Taurus new in 2003 and have only had to do regular maintenance. Not too big,. Not too small. She is sturdy as she was hit head on on an icy day and very little damage was done. They don't make them like this anymore. I still see a lot of them on the road.

I really like my Taurus. My wife also liked hers. I'm glad FORD stayed with the same body style for several years. This is how FORD can keep their COSTS DOWN. When you have a winner, you can keep certain pieces for future production.

Talk about a wonderful vehicle...this is it!

Love this vehicle ...Drives like a dream, good cornering, no rolling, quick acceleration, steady in high winds and low maintenance. Unique body-design....interior design very nice all leather with wood trim .... dash features easy to see; comfortable seating .... excellent cargo space .... back seats lie down flush offering a totally flat cargo room ... offers a third seat if needed and very comfortable third seat for two adults.

Still dependable

I’ve owned this vehicle for 14 years. I always enjoyed the way it handled and drove. The vehicle never left me abandoned on the side of the highway or road. I’ve had other model cars but I prefer my Ford products.

What a great Car 192.000 mile and very few problems.

What a great Car 192.000 mile and very few problems. I paid $10,000 for it now they want $42,000 for a car that you can't see out of. I am looking for another model like this one with low miles. It would serve all the car companies right if they went broke. that is what they are trying to do to us charging so much money.

The Best

Ford made a classic with their Ford Taurus wagons. I have had two and love them. Love their unique styling, how they handle on the road, comfortable on trips, and hold up mechanically. I am disappointed that Ford's wagons are no longer being made but in the meantime hope to keep mine o thee road for a long time.

This vehicle is a BAMF

Still kickin! After this long the only issue is an antifreeze leak so far, this car is built to last! So glad to not be doing expensive repairs on it all the time like some other older cars require. Overall, very happy with it.

Good solid car

I bought gf a used one because the Taurus has a solid reputation as a reliable American car. The car is spacious and rides beautifully and is very attractive. Fire made a mistake not investing in the Taurus and allowing Toyota and Nissan to overtake them with Camry etc. I also own a Sable wagon because I love the Taurus so much

Taurus wagon

Best car Ford ever made and my second Taurus wagon. The first went 214,000 miles and could have kept going except for computer not passing inspection. Best load capacity of any of the standard wagons, longer wheel base gives stability. Few bells and whistles to go wrong. The limited edition engine has lots of pep and better mileage than the Big Boys. Guess the car is too good and lasts too long for Ford to keep selling new cars.

Still going strong and smooth after 13 years and 150K miles

My Taurus has been reliable and I have had no major, recurring issues. With attention to routine maintenance, and keeping a record of my work, this car still drives as good as the day I drove it off the lot. I was once hit from behind in a three-car collision and the only scars are stress cracks in the bumper. No major damage, as confirmed by a body shop. The car is heavy, has a wide wheel base and low center of gravity, making it a formidable contender on the road. I feel safe having my daughters in this car.

2003 Ford Taurus

It has been a very good car, comfortable and reliable. Gas mileage 20mpg around town 25 to 28 mpg on the highway. Good acceleration. At 86,000 miles it has needed new brakes once, a starter motor, and one battery.
