Not Again
In 2018 I factory-ordered a brand new Taurus SHO. I owned the car for just under 2 years before I decided that it was a mistake to get. Here's why: this car was VERY fun to drive; fast and agile. But fun does not translate into reliable. I read too many stories online about Power Transfer Units failing for the all-wheel drive system, the headache of the internal water pump, the tire issues related to all-wheel drive. Also, this car has no floor vent, just dash and defroster which makes for cold feet in the winter time. Turbochargers fail with time...it's a fact of life.
Having the power of a V8 is definitely NOT the same as having an actual V8.
Fair warning: Crew Carwash has banned the SHO Taurus from their wash line because their equipment has a tendency to rip the factory fender badges off of the car.
I sold this vehicle and picked up something else as a daily driver. Couldn't be happier.
