Nice sized car for a long commute

I purchased the Elantra Touring to replace a Hyundai Accent that was okay for just myself when I was commuting but too small for my husband and I when traveling. The Touring is a perfect size. I have a long commute and it gets about 30 mph for that. The hatchback gives us the extra space we want when taking it on a driving vacation. It has only needed routine maintenance and has been a reliable car over the 5 years we’ve owned it.

Still going

I've gotten used to some of its shortcomings. I can't complain considering the age of the car - this is important to me! It still is easier to drive and more comfortable than my sister's new Honda!!

Last of the station wagons

I bought this car because i like station wagons. The stuff in the back cargo area is accessible from inside the car, and the roof maintains roughly the same height to the end to maximize cargo capacity. This one is roomy on the inside even though it is a smaller car. The ride is a little noisy compared to some other cars but it is otherwise sturdy and reliable. I would hope that Hyundai brings back true station wagons like this instead of just hatchbacks, which still don't have the same amount of cargo space in the back.

Very reliable and economic

I enjoy driving my vehicle had some issues with the item on recall now. This is the third time that this component needs fixing. I checked reviews from other owners and the same semsvti be the case.

Love my car!

My Hyundai Elantra Touring is just the perfect size for me as a single woman yet provides enough seating and storage for me to take fellow convention attendees with me to the big city. The car turns on a dime, is easy to park, and drives well in heavy traffic. I especially like the covering for the storage compartment.

More than expected

The car has run over 98,000 miles and keeps going. There have been a few issues over time that were all taken care of under warranty from Hyundai. It is a good family hauler, with more than enough room in the hatch carrying everything from the kids school bags to groceries to the annual Christmas tree. Having never owned a Hyundai before, I didn't know what to expect and have been pleasantly surprised.

Compact with room

This car has been very good to me. It has great tight space maneuvering, has amazing loading space in the back cargo area. My long legged sons claim the back seat area is spacious and it drives well in snowy conditions. I researched this car when I was downsizing from the Soccer Mom van I had driven for years. I still wanted something that I could load garden supplies in and the occasional "alley finds"that feed my creative side. This fit the bill. Down sides are: The doors collect ice in the winter and it is not compatible with I -phone bluetooth. I am overall very happy with Hyundai and would definitely consider buying a Hyundai again.

Good car ride could be a little smoother the interior is nice it's leather good color,the sound system is very good better than than the stereo in my house, it's a perfect size for my dog Carrier we have two small dogs.

Paint on car is pealing off, poor gas mileage, all of buttons on drivers door needs total replacement 4 windows & locks, odometers light is burnt out again.. drives good in snow. Has plenty of leg & head room.

Hyundai Elantra Touring has been GREAT

My mother is an invalid and has many medical problems. The Touring was easy to transport her to her many doctors appointments and load and unload her wheelchair thru the hatchback. I am only 5'3" and since her wheelchair weighs almost as much as I do, the lower profile allows for much more ease when loading and unloading cargo. In addition, with the lower profile, I am not "climbing up" to the driver's seat like most SUV's. It is not a fancy vehicle, but very comfortable with leather seats (heated), sun/moon roof and everything comfortably within reach. Above all else, I am so impressed with the customer service experience and cannot praise the service department at AutoMax of Norman enough for the courtesy and consideration extended each time I have reached out to them.

Great Little Car

Though you don't see theses often, they provide many useful features at a great price. Feels upscale for the this market segment. Bought nearly new (700 miles), it has been a great car for the past 9 years.

Although economical to drive, averaging around 29 to 32 mi, it does have a lot of road noise. The cab is comfortable enough, and there is plenty of head room. A couple of drawbacks are road noise, changing side marker lights, changing head and tail lights - instructions are not really clear-.

not a reliable vehicle.

instrument display burned out at 24000 miles and had to be replaced, both front door windows broke and had to have the regulators replaced, front marker lights filled with water and had to be replaced along with wiring harness. All this and the car has only 25200 miles on it.

Have had 2 instrument clusters replaced, a driver’s side window regulator and also had a significant and costly emissions repair. All of this occurred in a 5 yr old vehicle with only 30,000 miles. Incredibly disappointing.

Good summer car.

compare to a 2009 that I had, it is a lot better. i wish it had blue tooth to connect my smart phone. i'm giving it a 3 stars for the reason that I'm not to crazy about the brakes in the snow. you truly, really have to drive super careful in the snow. Once I was going down a hill not to steep and when I applied the brakes, I slid into the intersection and around the corner. thank God no cars were coming. in the rain and dry run. its ok. I would think this vehicle is more for the summer than for the winter. otherwise it runs well. I had mine for 7 years now it is reliable to get around and take it cross country on vacation. the A/C is very good and the heat is great. Just like anything else, How you take care of the car, will determine how long it will last. i'll keep it until something else comes along.

Touring 2012

Has had electrical issues that started after 15,000 miles. The motor runs well, poor gas milage 25 miles to gallon. needed recall work which was taken care of during oil changes. I feel safe in the car its well made and drives real good in the snow, and on ice too.

Touring 2012

The parts are costly and its expensive to have parts replaced through the dealerships. $260 to replace a swich in my drivers door to roll the passenger side window up and down, in 8 years i have rolled that wondow down a total of 8 times and the switch no longer works. The light burns out in my odometer every 30,000. The car has electrical issues and its costly.
