Loved this Car!

I think once you go electric, you'll never go back, but if you start with this one, you may never leave Hyundai's side. This car is fast, fun, comfortable, and has all the bells and whistles you could ever want.

I love my Hyundai Ioniq 6

It drives great and the quality is very high. I like sporty cars and everything about the interior appeals to me. Having regenerative breaking is such a better way to drive. The range is very good and it charges quickly.

Good Commuter Car

I enjoy the car, how it drives, it ease-of-use, and comfort, but the battery life is inaccurate over long distances, particularly when taking highways and during the winter-time. I dislike that the windows fog up during the fall-winter seasonal transition, which is both a hazard and annoying to remedy. The charging station finder should be expanded outside the hyundai network, but the adapter is definitely an asset when looking for fast chargers on long trips.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 (2023) Review

I have generally been very pleased with the car. I initially leased for 2 years, and then bought the car when the lease was finished. Other than the recall issues the car has been reliable. It charges quickly. The range is not as good as advertised, but part of that is the type of driving I do. The car has exceptional interior room, drives smoothly, accelerates very well.

The epitome of an EV sedan

There is so much to like about the Ioniq 6. The interior design integrates all the informational displays into the dash. Unlike most cars that mounts a tablet-looking display along the dash, the Ioniq 6 uses 2 (arguably 3) panels inherent in the dashboard. The safety systems are excellent and very complete. The collision avoidance systems are particularly useful both in protecting against a range of potential accidents (eg blind-spots, pedestrians, etc) and self-inflicted collisions (eg, parking mistakes). It’s as if the vehicle will not allow you to mar its exterior surface! Driving is also a blast with it’s excellent handling, smooth ride, and acceleration. This is really a great car

Hold for life

It is a 2024 (the 2023 is another story). I am old enough to believe that the car will outlast me. I have no intention of ever trading it. I don't like the color (red) but otherwise it meets all my needs and I have no car payments. Except for nails in the side of two tires, I have had no maintenance expenses.

Mostly good

Had a major issue in the spring with the power just dropping to nil. Barely made it off the road on the 12v. Was some switch and took a month to fix. Now, a few times a week I go to stop and it surges forward. Scary. Like the smooth ride and acceleration otherwise.

Comfortable, economical around-town car

We're using our Ioniq 6 for around town driving and occasional trips to destinations about 100 miles away. The car is very easy to drive and the ride is extraordinarily smooth and quiet. We charge the car almost exclusively at home using a type 2 charger, and have found that a 300 mile charge adds about $9 to our electric bill, about 1/3 of what gasoline would have cost us. The downside is that even after over two years we still haven't worked the problem of charging away from home. There is a charging infrastructure growing at a modest pace around us, and we have a Tesla charge adapter on the way, but the whole problem of multiple apps is a challenge of its own. It doesn't help that the available reviews of those apps are less reliable than the apps themselves. It reminds me of the days when we had to carry around multiple gasoline credit cards.

Love it BUT

I love my vehicle but every car has its pros and cons. Some can be easily overlooked if not a necessity. Well my con is the trunk space. It's just not deep or wide enough. Mind you my house hold is only myself and my fiancé. So for 2 people to both agree that the trunk space is lacking its a problem. Now I don't need to fit a dresser in there but a costco run of just groceries for two people should fit. We find ourselves having to put the toilet paper and water bottles in the back seat just to get everything to fit. Now my old hyundai elantra had a beautiful deep trunk. The last thing I'd like to mention is how come I have to plug in my phone to connect to android auto. I love to be able to do it through Bluetooth.
