Fantastic upgrade over a Tesla Model 3

I moved to this car from a 2019 Tesla Model 3, and this Ioniq 6 is better in every way. The range is better, it’s quieter, smoother, less ‘weird’ in terms of electronics & driving mechanics. I am absolutely pleased with the Ioniq 6 - fantastic electric car!

Ioniq 6 Review

While the vehicle is comfortable and roomy I believe that the A/C vents in the front dash are positioned too low so that the air does not circulate well through the car. Also the vehicle range has been considerably lower than expected. Not sure if that is due to setting or driving performance

Elegant Cruiser

Beautiful ride with factory range even after 16k miles. Interior materials stain easily and don't feel premium as the performance. Polarizing design and not as practical as the 5 for cargo/trips...but a better range even at speed for a commuter.

As a retired software engineer with over 40 years experience, I find the Ioniq's software to be quirky and somewhat awkward to use. Also, since I had a stroke, I don't have fine motor control over the fingers of my right hand. Physical switches (toggle, rocker, or push button) would help as would the ability to create custom voice commands (as long as they are safe and legal). Lastly, when the car is turned off and the onboard software detects a definite shutdown coming, the last thing it should do is take a snapshot of the car's entire memory and a list of functions enabled. This would eliminate the clumsy, time-consuming startup procedures. THE CAR COULD THEN HAVE TWO COMMANDS: START UP OR RE-START. This is not rocket science.

Windshield and Air Play

The windshield is more fragile than other cars. I have owned 7 cars in my life and never cracked a windshield. In under a year, the Ioniq 6 windshield was cracked and repaired twice. I wish I had Apple Airplay.

One of the best EVs I drove

Beautiful, sleek, sporty, comfortable, easy to drive, drives very smooth, quiet cabin, full of amenities and high tech equipment, longest battery distance . I got as much as 348 miles out of one charge. Charges very fast with a 40Amp home charger.

I love this car. The design, comfort, technology, economics and performance are all excellent. My only complaints... 1. The speakers/sound is horrible 2. The perimeter alerting is way too aggressibe, especially when stopped 3. One of my rear seatbelts was broken at delivery time 4. The steering wheel blocks most of the left screen
