Gutless

I was seriously looking at a new Maverick but dealers wanted 2-3+ over MSRP. I then started looking for a Santa Cruz. I drove one in San Antonio and really liked it. They stuck 2k worth of unwanted or needed stuff and that cancelled that idea. I went to the Hyundai dealer in New Braunfels and they weren't doing the add on $$$ and they had one with the right exterior color and grey interior that I was interested in. It didn't have the turbo engine as the one I test drove had but it had most of the right stuff. They had one of a different color but it was about 10k more. I wrote them a check and out the door I went. Too soon too old, too late to smart. It didn't have near the power of the one I test drove but I thought I could learn to like it. NOPE! I really do love everything about this little truck aside from power. The transmission is doing strange thigs as well. I can highly recommend the truck but not the non-turbo engine. I'm going to try to sell it so I can get the turbo and dual clutch trans. We'll see.

Unique looking vehicle. Fun to drive

The Santa Cruz has a unique look, turns heads and people always ask..What is that? The options I wanted would have been another 10,000. Seems like a big jump in price to get a tonneau cover and the turbo option.

Good Truck!

Just the right size for what I needed. Good performance and gas milage. Great to drive and response on the corners. The truck looks great and people are always asking me what it is and who makes it. Rides very smooth.

Overall this is a good vehicle, While it does have a couple of glitches, I still really enjoy driving it. It checks all my boxes in vehicle for me… I hope to be able to work out the minor issues I am having..

Great Truck

Love the Santa Cruz, the only misses to me is the piano black trim on the interior that scuffs so easily and is dusty all the time. It has been a great vehicle for a year now and I would recommend it.

Nice size pickup truck.

Waited yrs for the Santa Cruz to b built. Bought it sight unseen. Got the limited model has great power, the styling is great, great size for me, mostly haul few bails of hay & feed, or about 6- 5 gallon tanks of gas for mowing. I didn't want a massive pickup truck look. the paint is nice no flaws. Do wish they had a better choice of fun colors. Have had lots of compliments on its looks. Didn’t know I needed ventilated seats but love that! Even the backs r heated on heat mode. Love the all around camera. Has built in garage door opener. Just a fun vehicle to drive!

Love the concept but.....

The Santa Cruz fills the niche for a urban small truck. As with most vehicles, it has its benefits and drawbacks. What has taken the shine off this purchase is the fact that any maintenance needs to be scheduled at least two months out, at least at the dealership I purchased from. Service reminder for an oil change came on at 8,000 miles. Called dealership and they could schedule me two months out. Paid for first service myself at a oil change retailer.

Nice vehicle

Great styling and gas mileage. Comfortable. Handy push button tailgate. Very easy to go from front wheel drive to all wheel drive. Transmission is wonky at low speeds Going up an incline and gas door is malfunctioning

Great little truck

They thought of almost everything for this little truck, gas mileage needs to be improved ,good ride ,good power ,great excelleration. I tow a 4000 lb trailer with no issues .,the trailer does have electric brakes.

Great vehicle look and feel. The vehicle has noise coming from rear passenger side. Had the transmission replaced by Hyundai at 24,000 miles. Overall fun vehicle to drive and so far Hyundai has honored their product with good warranty service

So we got another one and haven't had it a month yet. The new one will hopefully be our last vehicle we need to buy. We like the gas mileage and the comfort of the front seats plus we each have our own air controls too.

I love the truck

The truck is great, the 2 dealerships I have dealt with I strongly suggest you don’t go to them . Merlin Hyundai in Rocky Mount NC crooks and Weimer Hyundai of Morgantown WV will try to tell you your oil needs changed every 1500 miles and when confronted with the 8000 mile oil change per the manual, the manager said the service manager didn’t know any better

Very satisfied

Only problem I thought it had was hesitation from stop sign. Turned out the problem was using my left foot to break. After much complaining the problem turned out to be mine. It was somewhat hard to except.

four and one half stars and still loving it

this vehicle is fun to drive and reminds me the sportiness my 1972 Mercury Capri that I bought when I came home from Viet Nam but that is where the similarity ends... This truck usually gets a question or asked of me and I don't mind being an unpaid spokesperson for Hyundai. I learned about the SantaCruz from Utube if there were some commercials showing this truck you'd sell/see many more on the road

Great mini S.U.V.

I bought this vehicle without even test drive it! Crazy right? But I did! It was one of those thing when you see it for the very first time and you say to yourself, finally! Some engineer and developers have actually got something good in there brain. The body and shape and the styling was just perfect! And it’s a 4 cylinders! I don’t care about 500 Hp. I wanted a vehicle that will take me from point A to point B with style and save on fuel. I put on 400 miles on the vehicle the very first week because I love it that much and all city driving too. I have 6 other vehicles and haven’t even touch them yet ever since I’ve gotten this Santa Cruz!

I’m loving my new Santa Cruz. It has all the great features I love in my old car and more and the truck part is just big enough for what I need it for. Great price for the vehicle !!! It has enough power and great handling and it’s spacious in the Interior and great sound.

Great vehicle, rides and handles like a car but has a place for hauling all the stuff you do not want smelling up your vehicle aka gas, weed killer, fertilizer etc. Wife enjoys driving, gets a lot of attention for the styling. We are happy with it, what more is to be said
