Great technology, good features, build quality is lacking.

We were debating between the Santa Fe and the Toyota Highlander. We have had Toyotas for many years. The technology package and comfort of the Santa Fe won us over. We are now feeling unsure of our purchase as the build quality and over all quality of the Hyundai does not seem to match the Toyota at all. The driver's seat started making a very loud grinding noise only 2 days after we picked the vehicle up (brand new). Brought it back to the dealer, they replaced something, didn't fix the issue, had to order another part. We are still waiting for that to be fixed. There is a loud whistling sound when driving at speed at the front passenger window. The entire care rides nice and is very quiet over all. But when sitting in the passenger seat the air whistling is very loud. Brought it to the attention of the dealer. They said it was "normal". It's just not the quality we are used to. I don't think we will be buying a Hyundai in the future. It's unfortunate because this is our very first one. We have been very loyal to Toyota for a few decades. This was the chance to win us over. But we have not been impressed with the build quality or the support at the dealer.

A definite improvement to my previous 18 year old Santa Fe

I purchased the vehicle on 9/13/25 and have just under 3k miles on it currently. I can honestly say that although I have run into some minor irritating issues and annoyances, I am otherwise very impressed by the overall quality and hyundai engineering. That being said, I will list both the irritating things I've come across, as well as the annoyances. Irritating: 1. The fact that SO many features are tied to the top trim Caligraphy model, when some could easily be offered on the lower trims. 2. The fact that there is clearly a space available for a spare tire, yet it is not offered as part of the package. Annoyances: 1. The fact that my Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra phone overheats when placed on the charging pad for even 20 minutes. 2. The fact that the wiper blades are not easily accessible *both front & back) without 1st going into accessory mode. 3. The fact that the infotainment screen seems to dim at random without a logical reason. Sometimes dims in full sunlight. Sometimes dims in a tunnel. And the dealership had no answer other than try to turn the auto mode on the headlights off, but that didn't address the issue. I thought it might have something to do with android auto, but it still happened even after leaving my phone at home and using only for radio. My only other issue is a personal preference thing with regard to the taillights, which i understand are being addressed mid-cyycle for the 2027 model... although, I wouldn't change the headlight design because I do like that. But I understand that the updated taillight design would not work with the current headlight design. However, if I can make a suggestion... I would recommend hyundai continue to offer the XRT version of the vehicle with the same headlight design that gives a more rugged appearance, but incorporate an updated vertical taillight design that works with the current headlights and also give off a more rugged off-road appearance.

Great traveling vehicle!

I have owned my Ivy for just over 2 months. I just traveled 1000 miles to warmer weather. This SUV drove flawlessly and got the quoted MPG that Hyundai stated it would.

My Santa Fe Hybrid, not only looks beautiful it is beautiful to drive

I drive a lot within the city to deliver paperwork; this vehicle not only is very comfortable it is easy on the gas. Many times, the MPG goes into the 50 MPG. I love the monitoring of all areas inside the vehicle and also outside. The cruise control is superb. Too many things about it that slip my mind. the bottom line I am really happy that I bought this SUV.

Ultimate Luxury

I waited almost 8 months to find the specific car I waited because every time I was ready to make a purchase they had all interior colors except the Light Grey Leather. I purchased the Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy with Light grey Leather Interior and it was well worth the wait. I love all the features from the Heated 1st & 2nd Row Seats to the dual charging stations. The car is super comfortable and I get great mileage. It feels like a super luxury car and I am so happy with my purchase.

Love this vehicle!

I am thoroughly enjoying my Santa Fe. The mileage on the hybrid is great- such a change from my past car. The trunk space is great, with the third row down. And even the third row is comfortable. Additionally, the technology is so good. The safety features and cameras truly make me feel safer.

2 months and 2 service trips

Purchased October 27, 2025 First service visit: December 15–18, 2025 Second service visit: December 29, 2025 – January 8, 2026 Brand new vehicle Since the purchase, the vehicle has been making a loud and concerning noise that has not been resolved despite two separate service visits at different dealership locations. The issue persists and continues to impact my confidence in the safety and reliability of the vehicle. Unfortunately, after both appointments, the problem remains unresolved. Per last service report “ could not reduplicate”; however, June 9th I personally drove the vehicle and noice is present. A google search shows it’s an issue expressed by many
