2023 tucson hybrid not worth the money

All these comments are long term repeating or constant issues. Vehicle has never even come close to advertised mileage, 1/3 less than advertised. Interior is nice. Engine struggles, sounds like it has 100k miles, not 33k. Transmission shirts erratically, sometimes reving when not needed or not charging. Vehicle bogs at stop signs, not very safe. Maps program routinely selects routes that take longer, despite setting for fastest several times. Bluetooth connection spotty. cable connection to phone will not keep connected, constantly resets. Turn signals have intermittent outages on one or the other sides. resets by itself, then a week later fails again, over and over over. No accidents. Would classify this as a real lemon.

Great vehicle but mileage is so disappointing

The vehicle was great externally, and on the test drive. However, once I took it home, I proceeded to notice that the mileage I was receiving in my hybrid was much lower than promised. Upon doing more research, there were accounts of others, receiving the same problem, which improved after the first couple of thousand miles. I waited until 3000 miles and continued to receive the exact same mileage I received when I first took the vehicle home. After calling my dealership, I brought my car in and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it and there was nothing they could do. I am currently receiving between 25 and 27 mpg on highway driving and between 28 and 30 mpg in city on a promise of an average of 36/37 City/Highway. I am very disappointed at this sense I have a friend who currently has a non-hybrid Kona that she can get up to 40 miles per gallon when driving conservatively. I drive very conservatively never going above speed limits and not using the Excelerator often and also continue to drive my hybrid and eco-mode and I am getting nowhere near that. I am fueling up constantly, and it is defeating the entire purpose of me purchasing a hybrid. So disappointing.

Like it, don’t love it.

Don’t hate it, but I’d never buy one again. Not a quality thing. Lacking: Interior/screen design/functionality, particularly when driving. Note to self: try to use controls while test-driving. Seat comfort/positions/adjustment. Seat material. HATE: BACKUP BEEPING.

3 concerns: 1) evap canister cracked and needed replacement with vehicle mileage under 2500 2) lack of experienced hybrid technicians available to diagnose and repair 3) length of time to order part and correct issue (8 days)

Beautiful vehicle, with a few unfortunate problems.

Absolutely amazing vehicle. The HTRAC AWD works incredible. MPG is not anywhere near advertised, I'm getting 32 overall average with ECO mode on and driving very conservatively. I also have a significant problem with the center entertainment screen completely turning off/blacking out on me while I'm driving and it won't come back on until pulling over, turning the car off and then back on again. I can live with reduced MPG but the entertainment screen glitches are a big problem right now. The dealership spent 4 hours on it and can't figure it out either.

Nice ride

Nice ride, didn't have the trim package I wanted so I bought this one instead. The closest that I wanted and got the lower trim package for pretty much the same price. Wanted the 2.9% but even with a 780 I received a 6.9% because my appointment was 2 days after that special. Convenient if you ask me

Sub par mpg

Does not come close to the rated mpg. Everything else about thus car is nice. But I bought it for the rated mog and it doesn't do what is advertised. I have to write 200 characters and I need 20 more.the

Still waiting for hybrid-like MPG

Everything about the car itself seems fine, EXCEPT the MPG that is the reason for buying a hybrid in the first place. Listed at 37/37, currently getting in the 20's in town and about 30mpg on 2 lane highways (less on 4 lane). Also the horrible dealer experience makes it not worth purchasing even if everything was perfect.

Hyundai needs to focus on quality

I purchased a new 2023 Tucson HEV in the Limited trim. After owning the car for exactly a week the check engine light is on. After immediately taking the car to the dealership there's a faulty piece that has to be replaced. Other cars are experiencing the same issue and the part is backordered with an estimated arrival of 6 weeks.

Brand new car and Air Conditioner doesn't work.

Nice car, bought brand new. Found out after a month Air conditioner doesn't work. I have to wait 3 weeks to have it checked at dealer. Having 2nd thoughts about my purchase. Owners manual has way too much information about car that is not pertinent to our specific model.

Good vehicle. Interior build quality is suspicious.

Good engine to drive and get good MPG for how responsive it feels. Plenty of space. Trunk is massive and rear passengers will be very comfortable. Interior build quality is suspicious. Roof rattles from first week out. Extremely annoying (somewhat embarassing when I have passengers) and no idea how to fix it. Purchased brand new

gas mileage on window sticker not achieved

check gas mileage not achieved based on window sticker display. my main reason for purchasing the hybrid was the gas mileage. price point for the hybrid is a rip off based on the going green marketing

Vehicle looks are great and offers tons of features but the issues is with the build quality and reliability of the vehicle, lot of cabin noise and rattling noise in the cabin in the bumpy roads. Service team is very bad and the response is too bad

I was a good purchase

I was expecting better gas mpg. The battery does not stay on enough to increase the mpg.The cameras seem to get dirty quickly, making the lane system to function improperly. Not having a spare tire, makes me feel uncomfortable, while driving. I have always had a spare, this is the first time I haven't had one.

Not that impressed

I had high hopes on his car being something I love for next 10 years. Sadly, it's fallen short for me. Gas mpg is NOT accurately advertised. If you are considering this for saving on fuel, consider how much your monthly payment will cost like it's additional gas prices. So I'm not really saving at this time, which was my goal.

Not my favorite car

I am disappointed that there is a knocking noise that no one can seem to fix. My car was in the shop for 2 months after purchase. I thought it was resolved but the noise is back. I drive very high miles and was hopeful a hybrid was a good option. I just don’t feel the quality is up to par.

Fun to drive

Great handling, good looking, comfortable, good storage, good vision, nice automobile. This would be a 10 star vehicle if the dealer would take the time to fix the three issues which are a flapping noise under the hood, a rattle in the passenger front door and an apple CarPlay system that when it works works great but it takes forever in a day every time I get in the car to get it to work.
