Tucson

I like my Tucson it is sporty, handles well and is the perfect size for my needs. I do wish the mileage was better and that it would've had the storage compartments under the trunk liner like the Santa Fe has.

Good for the money

Mechanically sound however electric windows and door locks sporadically stop functions for 10- 15 mins. This has occurred about 10 times in 3yrs. Took it to shop to diagnose but they could not find source. Apparently malfunction has to occur when being diagnosed.

The sunroof is not usable due to wind noise! The door windows are too high to reach an ATM.

I bought the car used and have been happy with it overall the problems that I have with the sunroof, which is one of my favorite features to have in a vehicle. It is too noisy to have open. I love the look of the interior the leather seats are great. I wish the gas mileage was a little better.

Lots of recalls

The Tucson needed a new steering column, was missing the under coating, has seatbelt issues, and the mileage was misrepresented...need I say more. It is not the value I was looking for after all, so I'll go back to the Rav4.

I would not recommend for a family of 3 or more.

I bought this car before I had a child and it was the perfect size but since I’ve had a child I find that there is not enough space and that there is limited air flow to the back seats. I had to by a Noggle (a hose that passes air from the vent to the back seat) to insure my child was staying cool. I wish I would have had the insight to buy a car with air vents in the back or just a regular sedan where air flow is better.

I like the vehicle the only negative is the hatchbank has to be open manually. That is because it is an earlier model, that is why I am thinking about purchasing a newer model. Ride is great seat is comfortable,

It works

When I purchased this car it was an impulse buy (silly me) but it had what I wanted buy I the factory tires slid in the rain. Radio cuts off , found s blog where I can restart the radio..but who wants to keep doing that. The truck rides rough. Had to get several alignments and only had the car for a year. Not enough cargo space or leg room in the back.

Wasn’t pleased with time it took to replace an engine under warranty (7 months) only after 45,000 miles. Loved this vehicle at time of purchase, not my first Hyundai. Gas mileage good , ride comfortability good. Body style , color and interior beautiful.

Quality not what it used to be

This is my 3rd Hyundai I’ve owned. I had great experiences with my previous cars. Seems that this car has had a lot of little electrical thinks that have broken which add up to expensive repairs. My car just hit 60,000 miles and I have spent over $2000 fixing two broken window mechanics and now have a lock that is not working. Also in my previous cars I got long life out of the factory tires and brakes that came with my new cars. I had to replace both on this car much much sooner. Sad to see this decline cause I’ve been loyal to this brand.

Tuson

I love driving my Hyundai Tucson. As a crossover, the size is perfect, not as small as a sedan and not as large as an SUV. The trunk height is perfect, since I can just position my items straight into the trunk. The seat backs move forward so I have been able to fit a large amount of things into the car, including long poles, Christmas tree, skis, and some oddly shaped items. I feel very safe in the Tucson. It is very sturdy, never wavers, and drives consistently. I do not have engine problems, but I maintain my car well at my Hyundai service station. The gas and brake pedals are consistent and work smoothly. The seats can be positioned perfectly for my back. I am able to keep the car clean on the inside. It has just the right amount of pockets and the glove compartment fits what I need. I use the center front container between the seats all the time. I put in one of those purse organizers and everything is accessible right away. The dashboard is very clear and has never made me confused. I use the Bluetooth connection and the buttons on the steering wheel all the time - mute, volume control, Audio instructions. I do not have to turn off my headlights when I get out of the car, since it automatically turns off when I click to lock the car. This way I never forget to turn on the headlights in bad weather or at night. I can easily control the speed of the windshield wipers, speeding it up a little or slowing it down a little, as the weather changes. In the wind, the car feels sturdy.

Tucson 2012

For the most part I have really enjoyed my Tucson. It drives and handles great. And it looks great. I am only dissatisfied with the blind spots. Very hard to see in the rear for changing lanes or turning. This feels unsafe for me. I also wish mine had the rear view camera! I am 73 years of age and I need these safety devices. I just want to feel safe in my car and I probably will not be able to purchase a new one.

I used to love my vehicle

Overall the Tucson is a reliable vehicle- good on gas, the heat and ac work really well, vehicle has bluetooth that works most of the time, heated front seats. The tire pressure light is EXTREMELY sensitive especially in the winter time. I've had to get my tire pressure light fixed 1-2 times a week because the light comes on almost everyday. The brakes on this car also "stick" in wet weather. When I initially purchased the vehicle the brakes were "sticky" and I've since had the brakes replaced and the issue persist. I've spoken to multiple Hyundai service associates about it and after a thorough vehicle check they've all reported there's nothing "wrong" with the brakes they just "stick". This can be frustrating when driving in inclement weather. On a brighter note, the oil changes aren't too expensive and this vehicle doesn't require much maintenance which is helpful.

Two recoils and-not gas reimbursement

In overall, this car has been performed okay. It keeps making new noises and the dealers’ mechanics can’t find it why. When I bought the car, the company promised to do some gas reimbursement as long I owned the car since they made a mistake with their calculation. They only help me for that for a couple years. No buying more cars to this company and not recommending it to anyone either.

Reliable

My Hyundai is a reliable car but last year the paint started peeling on my car. I opened up a case with Hyundai who referred me back to my dealership. I was told that there’s no warranty for peeling paint after a year. Really ! I’ve owned many cars in my life and never ever had a car’s paint begin to peel. I was told that they could refer me somewhere. I’m sure it will be super expensive. No thanks!!
