Transmission problems

Great mileage, good for moving items. I don't have anything else to write, right now the vehicle is at the dealership for transmission issues. It has been there a week and a half. We have not heard what's going on. We rented a vehicle at Enterprise and got expect to be reimbursed by Hyundai.

Love the styling

This is fantastic looking car my main issue now is the CVT Transmission. Difficult to get schedule a appointment. Has a lot of features in a small package. Only thing it needs is adaptive cruise control.

Not the best...not the worst.

Unless you are taller than 5'2"...I don't suggest you purchase the 2020 Venue. The vehicle isn't made for short or small framed people (in my opinion). Driver's seat doesn't adjust well; the headrest does not adjust for total neck comfort whiling driving.

It will do

It gets me from point a to b that's all. It's an okay car that it that's all. It's an okay car that's it that all. I heard about an recall but when I called to ask about it I was hung up on and given a customer service number without having a pen available. I left a message for Joel but never heard back from him so I guess that why she hung up on me because apparently Joel is okay with it. So basically don't call the service center and ask questions about your new car or you will be hung up on.

Eh

I do not like it. It’s lagging while taking off. While driving the shifter doesn’t lock to be moved from the side. I have knocked it into 1st or 2nd while going down the road. It doesn’t have an arm rest on the console. The back seat doesn’t have cup holders. The only thing good is the features and gas mileage.

I don't like the fact you can't open the tail gate door with and inside latch, or there's no button on my fob to open the tail gate,no sunroof,When we traded or Elantra in I wish now I would of not traded it I had more things on the Elantra then this Venue,We didn't even set in or test drive the Venue because our salesman was in pain from an injury

Cute car, cheaply made

I chose Hyundai because after having a lemon, I wanted something that offered a great warranty. This car has not been impressive to me at all. My seats are starts to rip at the seam, and the paint on the front bumper is slowly chipping off. I feel like you shouldn't have these issues one year into owning a brand new car. I take care of my cars and this is just cheaply made.

It was great while it lasted...

I loved my little Venue when I first bought it. I named him Venne the Baby Range. It's the perfect size, fits in any parking spot, cute, fun and economical just like me! However, just 2 years and less than 20k Mike's in, I'm having engine issues. It started with my cam Shafts failing which led to having to get my engine replaced shortly after that, my transmission went. Luckily everything is covered under warranty so no out of pocket expenses for me but this has definitely ruined my experience for me.

Transmission trust issues

The transmission went out at 18,000 miles, and frequently had to be towed to the dealer who did not properly find and resolve the problem. It was about two months of my life I’ll never get back, not to mention all the stress it caused.

Cheaply made fragile and weak

The Venue is suppose to be a small sub but when I accidentally rode over a curb in the Hyundai of Paramus service lot, it broke a foam panel on the bottom of the car. Cost me $585 to replace a piece of foam with 3 screws. Plus the engine is only a 4 cyclinder.

Hands free is dangerous

Don't buy it. Look for other vehicles. This is my 6th Hyundai vehicle in 4 years. Hyundai just keeps giving me replacement vehicle. I have gone through several Hyundai recalls and you can believe that I have a different vehicle that is not a Hyundai that I actually drive daily.

No dome/map lighting.

It would be satisfactory if it had an interior dome light in front. I thought that all new cars had them. Also, no push button start, and the interior is full of hard plastic. Due to the lack of interior lights, I cannot in good conscience recommend this car. Otherwise, the car handles pretty well, gets excellent gas mileage, is easy for a man with a bad back to get into, and is reasonably fun to drive. If I had it to do over, I would have test driven a Kona before buying.

quality has declined since I bought my 2002 Hyundai Accent. Should be improving the quality of the vehicles not making them worse. Have been online looking for a 2012 to a 2015 accent for my main car and keep this one for a backup car.ihate even getting in this bucking bronco. I just passed 6000 miles

The transmissions are garbage!!!!

I purchased a brand new 2020 Venue. After less than 6,000 miles the transmission had to be replaced. I have lost all faith in the safety and reliability of this vehicle. I’m so disappointed. This car left my 21 year old stranded on the interstate.

Easy to steal!

Do not buy this car!!! Windows not connected to anti theft and can be started with just a usb!!! Look into what you are buying and search up what is happening in milwaukee! Over 2700 cars stolen in 2021 already this year!

Not worth Wasting your money

Good luck getting any of the extras offered by Hyundai when you purchase a new vehicle. Just understand your buying the lowest cost option and not to expect more then you did from a chevette. CAR AND DEALERSHIP SUCK!!!!!!

Around town car

I like how nible this car is, the 35 mpg and the look from the front. The trunk actually has some decent space. Just enough for a good grocery run. This care itself is very basic and over priced. The side view of the car is awful and the plastic dashboard is a joke.

UNRELIABLE - GOOD MILAGE WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WORKS!

Purchased this vehicle new in May of 2020. Sep 2021, at 15k miles, the transmission failed while in transit to vacation rental. Cost me $800.00 to get home. Local Hyundai dealer, Athens, Ohio, fixed the transmission. Took about 10 days to get a new transmission. Kicker is I contacted the dealership that I bought the car from, Duncan in Christiansburg, VA, and they would not help me at all with navigating the Hyundai re-imbursement process. Bottom line - DON'T BUY A HYUNDAI
