Great car!

This car has kept me safe, is reliable and responsive! The rear differential went out at 108,000 mi which was a spendy thing to replace.. but a great car! I would have liked an interior like my old Pontiac vibe where the seat backs where plastic and they lied flat.

Love this vehicle

I really love this vehicle. It handles so well in all weather (snow in particular). It is reliable and rides well. I purchased my current CX-5 used and have not had any regrets. I do plan on upgrading to a newer model and will be sticking with Mazda and probably the CX-5 again.

Quality car and reliable

Have always liked Mazda , previously owned 626 and more recently cx5 grand tourer 2014 . Very reliable, maintenance costs very affordable ( certainly compared to Bmw 5 series ) and drive quality is excellent . Would recommend.

Perfect except one thing.

This is a reliable, well riding SUV with reasonable gas mileage. It did leave me stranded once. The mass air sensor failed and the car will not start when it fails. It is easier to replace than the air filter, but you have to know that it is the problem. Otherwise, great car.

Best car I've ever owned

I love this car! I only wish you could do more interior and exterior color combinations. I dislike the newer body style and can't imagine what I'll drive after loving this car so much. Treated it well and it treats me well.

A great driving vehicle.

Obtained the CX-5 for my daughter to replace a totaled Nissan Rogue. The Rogue had been a fine vehicle, but wanted to get away from the continuously variable transmission. Didn't want to pay what I believe are inflated prices for the Honda CRV and Toyota RAV-4. I did my research and am glad I did. Impressed by the industry and customer reviews, I found and test drove a CX-5, and the decision to purchase was easy. We've been very satisfied with the CX-5, and bought another one for my second daughter when she turned 16. It's been years since we owned a Mazda (a late 90's 626, which we loved, and only got rid of to get an SUV for a growing family), and Mazda's not-so-great offerings into the SUV market is really the only thing that has kept us away this long. We're back as happy Mazda customers.

I love everything about it.

I love everything about it, the size, good on gas and maintenance service is great and affordable. If you do your maintenance service like you should, your car will be good to you. It is also good when I travel with my grandkids ages 5 and 10

Family car

Perfect family car. Absolutely love the size, the pleasure it is to drive, and the safety reviews! Somewhat disappointed as I'm a fairly sedate driver and my car is already making noises with only 20,000 miles on it. Also some engine revving when braking that makes me quite nervous-but the dealership assured me it's okay.

great car, great gas mileage, is everything they say about it. I didn't give it 5 stars because the tires wore out at 25000 and the rear brakes at 15000 other wise gret car for the money

Review of Mazda CX5

I have had this car for 3 years and enjoy it very much. I have had no problems with it and take it in for regular maintenance. This is the first SUV that I have had and will probably get another one next year.

More power than expected.

Comfortable ride, roomy enough to take four people plus luggage for a long weekend trip. Gas mileage over a 14 month period of total in-town and freeway of 28.9. Enough power from its 2.0L engine w/0 turbo to keep up with freeway traffic on I-70 through Colorado to Vail with no issues.

very nice, but not the best

The problems are little, but still matter because they could easily have been corrected in the first place. 1) The CD holder is too small for CDs. So when you put them in sideways, the CDs fall out when you come to a stop. 2) The rear light is just a small light on one side of the back, instead of having a bright dome light to light up everything well. So, to see things in the back you usually have to use a flashlight. 3) The hood does not have a light. So, you cannot see anything under the hood without using a flashlight, particularly at night.

Nothing but problems

I will never buy another Mazda. My Mazda is a 2014 and has a heating/cooling problem. I've had to repair the suspension also. Piece of shit, stay away... Absolutely nothing good to say about this vehicle.

Like the CX-5 a lot, BUT

Got a 2014 and Grand Touring. Like everything, except: 1) Radio/nav has spotty BT and USB connection problems. Asked for TSB 09-008/15 fix. The TomTom nav system is clumsier than my phone, so I just use that, but most car nav systems aren't that good. 2) Heater/AC control. Works except layout is clumsy and readouts look like they're from a 15 y/o Chevy. 3) Seats - For long drives they could use more padding. Also the driver's seat seems a little offset since I'm always siding to the left a little when driving. 4) Seat heaters - On HIGH they are barely noticeable. Below that, useless.
