honda fit over time isnt the best :(

sadly, over time, after years of being a honda owner, this repair issue is the second time the entire sensor system failed. Magic Mechanic is awsome, they try to keep my car safe and drivable till i can afford to switch brands. Honda used to be the best car to invest in, ive owned em for over 25 yrs. but this is the second one in only 8 yrs that has cost me thousands to keep up after only driving it out of the sales rep lot in one month ! electrical, fuel lines, air bag recall,(3 months repair there since the honda dealer installed them incorrectly the first time) tires, brake lines, airflow, brakes, ignition, whew ! Two honda fits in a row after only owning them for a couple months. sorry dearest Honda, costs me more to own one than the cost of buying one. I love you, but have to do something different so i stay safe. xoxox

Run-around town car with plenty of room for unwieldy cargo.

Ahhhh! The heated seats are WONDERFUL. This car is extremely maneuverable, which is a great asset in our urban setting. I haul a lot of bulky things: musical instruments, landscaping plants and materials, camping gear, etc., and I love how the back seats fold forward to create cargo space. The removable rubber mats make the car easy to clean, and can be removed for special events, leaving really clean carpets. The leather seats add a touch of luxury. I would appreciate a larger gas tank, so that I don't have to stop for gas every 215 miles. Also, driver seat suspension could be improved, in order to make long drives easier on the spinal column.

Great Car, but!

We love our Honda Fit. It has great fuel economy, runs well and the ability to haul a variety of items is outstanding, but. The car has already had two recalls which involved the transmission and door handle backing plates. Both items were fixed by dealer immediately, but I still had to take the time to get them fixed. I have had three other problems (1) a seat latch (drivers side) that would not completely engage. (2) air conditioner performed poorly. (3) transmission appears to have a hesitation at lower speeds. I have been working on getting these problems covered under warrantee for just over two years at two different dealers. The seat problem I believe is finally fixed. They had to move a misplaced seat rail. Finally my dealer recharged the air with a Freon (or whatever they use now days) with dye in it to help find the leak. The recharge has improved the air performance, but it is still poor as far as I am concerned. The dealer tells me the transmission is fine, but since I have warrantee left, I'm in a wait and see on the tranny. During my efforts to get the issues resolved, I called customer service on the seat problem and was left with the impression that they did not care about my problem. I bought my Honda on the strength of my experience with other Honda products I have owned. Unfortunately I no longer have a warm fuzzy feeling about Honda and would have to think twice about buying another one.

D Michels Honda Fit review

After driving the car for a year - I love it as a driver, good mileage, comfortable, great viewing. However for my husband the ride is not good - he is long legged and the glove box bumps out into the riders knee area. Even when I ride and I am 5'9" but long legged it is cramped. The back seat is pretty roomy, but it wasn't until we got good tires we paid $900 for elsewhere that the ride in the back was decent. Great car for one person who occasionally drives someone, but not good for sustained extra riders. One of my most fun trips was driving it to the East coast on the tolll ways - smooth ride. Again great mileage. Would encourage people to spend the extra on a noise reducing package - or get better tires. Also turns out there is a problem with the way the bar for doing alignments is set up. Tire shop says we'll have to go back to the dealer for that problem.

My 2015 Honda Fit

Love my Fit its a great little car, sure I have a few dislikes like the reflection from dash to window, and the key needs recessed buttons as its to easy too unlock the car after locking just putting the keys in your pocket however love driving my Honda Fit its really enjoyable, it turns 0n a dime and brakes same and fuel economy is very good and I'd recomend it to everyone that wants a small hatch that can really haul a lot.

Very dependable and versatile car!

Although I am disappointed by the lack of real carpet and the fact that this car was made in Mexico, when I thought I was buying an American car, it is an excellent car. It meets my needs completely. I love it's versatility and gas mileage!

Economical and reliable

I am a single mom with an eleven year old daughter. We love road trips and have found the Fit to be the perfect size for us. It holds all our gear and is comfortable to ride in. It is EXCELLENT on gas. It is GREAT for city driving.

Just a few problems

Air conditioner is insufficient for hot/humid St. Louis Summers. Drivers seat latch is not good. It breaks loose on one side. Dealer tried several times but could not fix. Now starting to experience electrical issue at 55,000 miles. Sometimes I push start button and nothing happens. A little fiddling and it will finally start. I have never been stranded, yet. Other wise the car is great. 34-36 mpg avg. Great cargo capacity and handles great.

Fun, sporty, cool car!

So far, I am in love with my Honda Fit! It is easy & comfortable to drive. I am getting used to random dashboard lights coming on (like a low-tire pressure light, but after checking all tires they were exactly where they should be...?) but the handbook has luckily been super helpful.

It is a salvaged vehicle but engine and inside was great. Bought car for my grandson for first car. It has Bluetooth and backup camera which were things he really wanted. Roomy for a big man and small car

Honda Fit

I like the Honda Fit quite a lot. It drives well and I have had very few problems with it. One of the issues I have with it though is that it is a bit small. Also it's a bit lower to the ground tha I would like. I actually damaged some sort of shield underneath the front of the car when I parked it too close to a curb stone in a parking lot because the Fit is so low. Other than that, I like the car very much.

A car to have fun in.

We are happy with the mph which was a reason for our choice. Any problems we’ve had have been taken care of be Honda dealers. It is small but we knew that when we bought it. We have traveled a good many miles and plan to go many more!

Nice little car with good gas mileage. Not the most comfortable ride and I probably would not drive it long distance but overall a nice little car. Seats are not soft. Back seats fold down almost flat

Loving the new Fit.

Honestly, this is the perfect musician car. It fits all my equipment. It's great on gas, and it handles really well on the road. Amazingly enough, besides fitting all my equipment, it fits into any parking space!

"Fits" me!

I traded up from a 2011 Fit to a 2015. The 2015 is quiet, smooth and cozy without feeling cramped. The lane camera on the mirror and the back up camera are new to me and wonderful.
