The Worst Car I Ever Owned

I hated this car from day 1. It runs like a truck and the suspension is horrible. It does not hold an alignment. I have had to replace the low profile tires 5 times. The moon roof stopped working after 6 years. Sometimes the radio works and sometimes it doesn't. The car is 8 yrs old and has just under 53,000 miles.There is a reason why they discontinued this model. A lot of them.

Would never buy another Hyundai

This vehicle has had more recalls than I can name and now more things are falling apart and they don’t claim it falls under the recall. My husband filed a complaint because of how dangerous it is for the power steering to go out on this vehicle. Awful and poor quality is all I can say to describe Hyundai. How are you all still in business?

Not happy at all with ride quality. This car looks nice, but is very very noisy to drive. Gas mileage is awful for a smaller car.

2010 Elantra Touring

I had a 2005 Tucson which was more fun, less noisy, and smaller. I liked the Tucson much better. Both have 5-speed transmitions and the Tuscon was easier to drive and not quite as quick but shifting easier and smoother.

Elantra Touring 2010

Good interior room for hauling musical instruments. Fabric and surfaces are not very rugged and wear out by 60K miles. Great highway mileage (30-31 mpg).

Good enough for a used vehicle.

The right height to get in or out. It takes awhile to heat up and defog the windows on cold days. No back hatch cover, so my packages are exposed through the back window.And even after buying a set of new tires, it does not feel like it grips the road on slippery days.

Not as good as my first Hyundai

I started with a 2000 Hyundai Elantra Station Wagon. Great car. Had it for 14 years. Passed on to my teen son at 10 years. Never had any major issues. This is a 2010 Elantra Touring. I had to replace the clutch in 2018. Something I've never had to do with a any manual car I've owned. Had to replace starter, air conditioner repair, tire sensors went, pressure plate, flex coupler and more recently electrical issues. Material on front seat ripped as well. Thousands of $. Seriously considering a Toyota next time

Great little car, but...

We bought our car used in 2011 from another dealership (not Hyundai). We really wanted a car with a hatch, a roomy back seat, and up-to-date safety systems. It has met our expectations in all of these ways. What we are not pleased, with, however, is the gas mileage. On a good day, with highway driving most of the way at 65-70 miles an hour, we get about 27 miles to the gallon. A car this size should get 30 MPG on a regular basis. For our car, it's rare.

Reliable Good Friend

My 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring SE is like a reliable, best friend. It's been a mutually beneficial relationship. I especially appreciate the easily accessible, large cargo area. The maintenance is minimal, thus worry free. Handling is responsive giving me driving confidence even in harsh conditions.

6-year itch?

Loved, loved my car for the first 5.5 years (bought in 2010) - comfortable, perfect size for me (I'm under 5'5"). There were some issues with the chrome peeling off the door handles and gear shift, but Hyundai took care of that. Now that I'm into the 6th year though things are so great 1) the tire pressure monitors had to be replaced because they cracked; I don't have a lot of miles on my car, I don't drive on gravel / dirt roads. And yet all four cracked. 2) this summer the air conditioner didn't work - took it in, there was NO coolant in the air conditioner, they didn't find a crack, so I need to take it back for a re-check.

ELANTRA 2010

It has been a very good car, except for two boo boo's. One the driver seat has a wing on the upper half that i have worn through twice. I have a bad knee and when i slide past the wing i wear it out, the material is just not good enough for the job. Second I need the dash light to be a little brighter at times. And I can't, yes I have had it checked, I guess too bad for me. I do like the car and would buy another one like it if they ever make one like it. RLB

Roomy.

Ever since the transmission was replaced a couple of years ago, I really like driving my car. There were issues with it pulling to the right in the past and still are, but I have become tolerant of it now. I like how roomy and versatile it is. My passengers say it is comfortable. I like that I can put the back seats down. I was able to load a 1950's kitchen table and it's 6 chairs it in one trip!

Traded for newer suv

I have this car since 2010 and decided it was time foe something newer. This car has served us well. Very good on gas. Storage for lugging things around was awesome. Beach trips and long drives were ok.
