2020 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Limited is the car I bought. Good overall and I recommend purchasing, but...

Overall, the 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Limited is a good car and worth purchasing. You get all available safety and entertainment features standard and the list is very impressive. There are 2 big negatives: 1) the car does NOT get the 690 miles driving range as advertised in the digital brochure and 2) the backup camera's image is TERRIBLE! As to fuel efficiency, I'm not exactly sure how many miles I get but when I fill the tank up, the "miles remaining" number is somewhere around 530 miles. As to the camera, the image is awful. It is fuzzy, grainy, and very low quality. I had a 2010 Hyundai Genesis and its camera was crystal clear. Shouldn't a vehicle that is 10 years newer [i.e., my 2020 Ioniq] have BETTER, not a WORSE, camera than a 10-year old car [i.e., my 2010 Genesis]? Of course but Hyundai went cheap on the camera which is terrible because every time I put my Ioniq in reverse, I have see that terrible, fuzzy, grainy camera image.

Ioniq EV Limited vs Bolt LT

Recently leased a 2020 Ioniq and previously bought a 2020 Bolt. They are similarly equipped but have significant differences. I am the primary driver of the Bolt and my wife drives the Ioniq. I like the power and range of the Bolt and it has better access for my heighth. With the "single pedal" feature, the Bolt is fun to drive but even with the regenerative function the range is significantly reduced in cold weather. The Ioniq has adequate power and features such as adaptive cruise control, driver position memory system, Homelink and some infotainment system features that are unavailable on the Bolt. I haven't driven the Ioniq enough miles to confidently access it's overall performance but my sense is that the Ioniq has the best VALUE while the Bolt is more fun to drive. They are both positive for our environment!

Hyundai ioniq electrical vehicle 2020

Car overall is great. comfortable easy to use but the battery needs to be bigger meaning 170 miles is great on a full charge but why not put a 240 mile range on the battery for this car. Rearview hatchback Visibility could be better. Having no spare tire is worrisome on long drives.

Over all we are very satisfied with the vehicle. The car is electric and has a good range and charging is easy. Again the car is new and it is out first electric car and our first compact car. So check back in 1 year to see how well the car is doing

It does the job

Car only has avg mpg of 40. With base performance options, ‘sport’ mode is just a gimmick. Don’t expect sport mode to carry you up hills. On the plus it’s more comfortable than smaller cars with same mpg. If your choosing between this hybrid and a base model Elantra, The Elantra is the better buy.

Great value and efficiency

Super efficient vehicle. Good for commuting or running errands. A little noisy on rougher pavement. Otherwise, a great vehicle. I like the quietness of the engine and the interior lighting. The wheel design could have been more exciting.

Ioniq EV 1 year review

The Ioniq EV is a great city car. The hatchback provides ample space for big box store hauls and home improvement runs. The leg room in the second row is sufficient for 6' adults, unlike many comparable EVs where the battery takes space from the rear passengers. The audio system is loud and clear, and while it doesn't have wireless Android auto, the wired version works great and has pretty seamless integration. We choose the high end trim, with the 60/40 back seat lie down feature and sunroof, to give more flexibility in hauling items and people. Plenty of zip in acceleration (sometimes more then the low profile EV tires can handle) even when 4 adults are in the car. Overall we love it!

2020 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid SEL

Have owned the Ioniq for approx 6 weeks and am overall impressed with the vehicle's features and performance. Was a previous Prius owner for about 12 years and switched to the Ioniq after extensive research and test drive. If the Ioniq provides the long term reliability and satisfaction that my Prius provided, I will be extremely satisfied with my Ioniq purchase. I would have given it a 4.5 star rating but it wasn't an option.

Nice ? So good, so far

Loaded with safety detection features. Ride is smooth and quiet. Acceleration good. Responsive. Automatic shifting is smooth. Power seats comfortable but have not yet taken long trip. Love inflatable lumbar support. Have not tried Mobile app and Android Play yet.

A beaut

This is a beautiful.car. It drives smooth and quiet and you can turn on a dime. There is plenty of room for groceries or luggage. It has top quality features like heated seats, programmable seat positions, and bluetooth,and a big screen for navigation and information. It is very easy t9 recharge, just plug in to a regular plug, or recharge at public charging stations and the nav system shows you the nearest stations and whether they are in use already or not. The leg room in back is a little tight but manageable for short trips.

Superb Car, except for one major design defect

First time Hyundai buyer. Super impressed with the Ioniq EV overall EXCEPT for one major concern which is that the dashboard reflects into the windshield more than I've ever seen in any car. It is fatiguing. It's like looking through fog on your windshield and is a safety concern. I will be contacting Hyundai about some type of remedy.

The car is great. However you will only average about 43 city 51 hwy. I would love an inside hatchback release button. Otherwise, a great car. I was happy with my salesman who helped me with my purchase. His name was Karl.

Not Like Older Version, but Still Good

I was excited to get this car, especially since I had an older model before and loved it. I was let down when I was not getting the average fuel economy. I am averaging about 47-48mpg over the last two months. I still love driving this car.

Great car on the drive radon gas comes with some great options the problem is the front windshield is too much glare many people have driven the car and said the same thing They need to change the window will give you some type of mad on top of the dashboard

Great time to purchase a very fuel efficient and reliable car. Can't be more pleased than I am, running smooth, reliable with fantastic gas mileage. For a "budget car," it still provides a pretty smooth and quiet ride with decent fit and finish on the inside.

Haven't had long enough to make a concrete review, but happy with the vehicle

Most issues are minor and don't really bother me. Fuel economy is one of my priorities and so far this vehicle delivers, even telling me how much I'm using. Another thing I value is operational costs but I haven't had the vehicle long enough to get a sense of what long-term costs will accrue so I can only say so much. Google needs to update their music app to allow users to control it with the vehicle without paying for it, but that's not Hyundai's fault ;)
