It's...ok.

It feels cheap to me. Very plasticy. The media center screen chips easily. I've only had it for a year and a half and I can already see permanent marks from all the touching of frequent buttons. I recommend a screen cover. The trunk lid makes a lot of noise while going over bumps in the road.

Great conpact SUV

I love the style and the comfort in riding. You sit higher up than a sedan but it doesnt feel as heavy and hard to manage as a regular size SUV. All features are customizable and being able to climate start my vehicle from my phone or drive with my phone without keys is my favorite part!

Great car-- my favorite! Good ride, easy entrance and exit, decent mileage. Mine is a leader and just cost too much. Hate how car decides to slow down for turning traffic that is already out of the way. I need trunk release on remote and easier reach to close.

2025 Hyundai Kona Review

Overall the car has good safety features and easy to drive but my car came with a major issue. The dashboard will go black from time to time stating signal lost. Therefore, I am driving blind without speedometer, fuel gauge and etc. I bought the car back to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong with it other than checking possible loose wires. Next time it happened again, I took a video recording while I was drive on Interstate 78 which it was very dangerous but this time, I have a recording withe the problem. They scheduled an appt for entire week with a loaner car. The loaner car was disgusting and dirty but the most challenging was to get an update on the vehicle. Long story short, I told them to be very careful about not to damage the dashboard since they are planning to take the entire panel apart and check any loose wiring. After a week in the shop, the car was fixed but it came with a price. Sure enough, my dashboard was damage with multiple scratches. The assistant service manager came out and stating they will make things right. 2 month later. I received a call stated a new dash has arrived and finally they got this replaced which took another week and without any updates. This entire process was very frustrating and avoidable if they have done the QA properly in the factory assembly line.

This is my second Kona, I like the elevation of an SUV without the bulk. I previously had Tucson’s, but the Kona has plenty of room for passengers and in the cargo area.it suits my needs perfectly!

I would not buy another. The Tuscon and Elantra's I had were great; the Kona leaves a lot to be desired. Too much unnecessary unused tech. I will likely go back to a subaru when it's time to get another car.
