Major Engine & Acceleration Issues — Hyundai Completely Lost My Trust
I used to love my Hyundai Palisade, but my experience over the last few months has completely ruined my perception of the vehicle and the brand as a whole.
After experiencing major engine trouble, the vehicle required a complete engine replacement at the dealership. Less than 5 weeks and under 1,000 miles after getting the car back with a supposedly "brand-new" engine, severe mechanical issues resurfaced:
Unacceptable Engine Vibrations: While idling and cruising (especially between 1,500 and 2,000 RPM), the entire vehicle wobbles. The vibration is so strong that I can feel it pulsing directly through the steering wheel and up my leg through the brake and accelerator pedals.
Cabin Rattling & Engine Shaking: The engine shakes violently under the hood, causing noticeable rattling throughout the interior cabin while driving.
Delayed Acceleration & High Revs: When stepping on the gas, there is a severe lag in acceleration. The engine revs high up to 5,000 RPM, but the car barely responds or moves, making basic highway merging and cruising feel frustrating and unreliable.
Warning Lights: The Check Engine light illuminated, and BlueLink sent urgent alerts that the vehicle required immediate servicing.
What makes this situation far worse is the lack of urgency, accountability, and support from Hyundai. After dealing with a major repair history that permanently damages the resale value of my vehicle, the brand's response felt completely passive. I was left to deal with the logistics, financial strain, and safety concerns on my own without proper support or meaningful compensation for the loss in vehicle value.
At this point, I have lost total confidence in the safety, quality control, and long-term reliability of this vehicle. I am actively planning to move to another vehicle brand. I would strongly advise prospective buyers to think twice before investing in a Hyundai Palisade.
