My 3rd Hyundai and the worst

No way you can fit an adult into the back seat. The seat cooler doesn’t do anything. No rear seat belts buckled and the seats raised up and still every time you turn off the vehicle it still dings and displays check the back seats. You turn the lights to “off” and there’s still a lot of lights burning in the front. You cannot select or view the cameras unless you’re parking. I bought this as a hunting vehicle for a ranch and it’s noisy and too lit up. I’m very disappointed.

Two low geared no free rolling doesn't shift or accelerate properly

Many blind spots the vehicle will go into AC or defrost for no reason mileage varies from 22 as high as 36 miles per gallon transmission does not let the vehicle free roll shifts too quickly out of overdrive very poor gear ratio there's coolant seeping somewhere out of the vehicle when it's hot wish I'd bought a Ford Maverick

The Santa Cruz is a is a very fun vehicle

I enjoy the Santa Cruz doing the time that it was a part of my family. It had many many wonderful gadgets from telling you when it’s a camera light to telling you to get off your phone. The car in front of you has moved. The problem was that you cannot seal the truck bed When it rains or a car wash it’s flooded and that pulls a problem while I vacation and it is now hurricane season here in Florida and I just couldn’t take the risk of losing everything even went in the truck. .

Not dependable and it looks like the 2024 will be more of the same.

Well, this is my second one, the first a 2022. No improvement. An overpriced box on wheels. The dealer gave me the '24 plus a few bucks for this '24 Had no miles on it, but neither did the '22. Dang little things are fun to drive, no doubt. They're cute, and rather puzzling. They're not much good for, anything except maybe, grocery getting and getting around town, short trips and such.

The worst I don't purchasing experience of my life!

The Santa Cruz activity package purchase has been an ongoing nightmare! We were totally ripped off. My husband and I have purchased several new vehicles in the past with great results and truly wonderful experiences. This purchase however, has been a nightmare. Every possible ancillary contract was added. We relied to about our trade in. The acting GM (and that does not stand for good man-more like ghastly mistake), was the most rude, arrogant liar my husband and I have ever come across in business. The purchase of our vehicle has negatively affected so many aspects of our lives. They lied about are trade-in amount they promised. They caused our credit scores to tumble. They added every possible ancillary contract they could without our consent. We did not receive those contracts for 14 months after the purchase. This is just the tip of the iceberg! I'll stop here as I am starting to shake...seriously.

Minor collision totaled it!!!

Was in a relatively minor collision a year ago, no air bag deployment. Collision shop found frame rail damage, $19,000 to repair!!

Will not buy another one

This is my favorite vehicle as far as looks, but nothing else. I had a new 2022 and it was great as far as super quite while driving, no rattles, no problems getting my oil changed when I wanted! This new 2024 has so much road noise that I sprayed under the carriage with undercoating spray, put quite studio foam under dash and still is just awful!! Just about none of the panels line up & don’t get me started on trying to get an oil change ! Worst experience ever!!

Electrical issue renders vehicle extremely dangerous

I initially loved my Santa Cruz. I have owned a Hyundai before and never had a problem with it. My immediate family have owned at least ten Hyundais in the past 25 years. However, after owning this Santa Cruz for just over one year, I began experiencing a serious electrical problem. I’ve now taken it to two different dealership service departments for a total of NINE WEEKS of lost usage, and they are unable to fix it. Engine, transmission, radiator, everything works fine mechanically. It’s an electrical problem involving the CAN bus that techs cannot properly diagnose and repair that has resulted in my deep dissatisfaction with the vehicle. I bought a new vehicle for the reliability and warranty, especially since I live in a remote area with few resources. Now it seems I’ve been stuck with an extremely unreliable vehicle that can’t be diagnosed to even be repaired under the warranty. I wish I’d never bought it and I warn people against Hyundais now.

I like my 2022 better

I had a 2022 that I much rather have back. The sales person told me the 2022 I had and the 2024 I have now, are the same and this is not true. No pick up and not great build. Paint is very thin

Brand new 2024 - starts rough; buzzing in cockpit on certain roads

i can't recommend a vehicle costing more than my previous Infiniti G37x yet having obvious defects and lesser quality. Very annoying buzzing in cockpit on Texas FM/RM roads but can't determine location. Runs rough on startup - dealer charged $400 for fuel flush and then the vehicle ran more roughly. I notified the dealer and no response.

A fender bender totaled it!!

Had a collision, no air bag deployment. Damage looked relatively minor, cosmetic, I drove it several days before dropping it off at a collision place. They determined it had frame rail damage, over $19,000 to repair. Geico called it a total loss!!
