Pleasantly Surprised

I was pleasantly surprised to discover how much attention Hyundai gave to the details of the Tucson. I really feel I got more for my money with the Tucson than if I had bought another manufacturer's vehicle.

this has been a very good vehicle. reliability has been perfect. features and appearance outstanding. the vehicle handles well in all weather conditions, including Western New York winter weather. i would buy this vehicle again down the road, however i would hope this will eventually be available in full electric version within 5 years.

Best SUV for the money

My Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is excellent in every way. So many features come standard and not “extra”. It rides smoothly and quietly. The exterior and interior are beautifully styled. The touchscreen is extremely convenient.

23k miles typical oil and tire rotation. Reliable easy to drive hybrid. Use 10 gallon gas per week putting on 450 miles for work, only driver. Car has value, comfortable easy to drive. Good value for entry level car Blue group.

Fuel efficient without the compromises

Be sure to try to get the Turbo Hybrid version of this car. Every thing about the Tucson has been redesigned to try to be best in the category. Many things about this car are indeed best in the Compact SUV category. #1. The Turbo Hybrid gives you the surge of power that feels so good without going for all out power. This allows you to get the advertised MPG. It gets 32 MPG at 82 MPH on the freeway Houston to Dallas. #2. The room in this car both passenger and rear cargo area is shockingly good, better than bigger vehicles. It is the best and most efficient design for use of space out there. #3. The 6 Speed transmission feels good, way better than most CVTs. #4. The cars exterior and interior both look great, cool even. The front grill makes this car among the most recognizable with it's very pretty light pattern. It is so much better looking than the competition IMO. #5. I like my Limited and loaded version. It feels great to get all that really nice car stuff for way below luxury price. Hyundai still does well with that.

Like everything but gas mileage

The gas mileage does not meet estimated nor other SUV mileage expectations. Would not recommend if you want a hybrid. Maybe a normal Tucson, I like all of the other amenities and it fits tall people.

Good but not great

Hybrid performance disappoints. Android connections are problematic. Car is solid. Basically comfortable. So far reliable. But the reviews when we bought over estimated the car. It will last, but has frustrations. Milage, especially in winter when fuel mix changes, is the real disappointment.

I should have gone with Toyota. I feel like this car just isn’t holding up well at all. It looks nice but driving it is difficult and unreliable. It lunges forward and hesitates when accelerating. To me, it’s dangerous and the dealership did nothing about the issue!

Great every day family car

I love my new Hyundai Tucson. It’s a beautiful car, it’s never given me any issues. My one little issue is the clock doesn’t stay on the right time but I’m not in the car enough for it to matter. I compared it to the RAV 4 and I’m glad I went with the Tucson.

Comfortable ride best attribute. Lots of tech but needs to be more user friendly. Cruise control system confusing. Engine noise when accelerating needs to be fixed. Mileage a little under ratings. Nice tires and rims. Exterior styling is good. Need to have more color options for exterior and interior.

Love it

Except for a few minor nits, I like everything about this car. Good fuel economy and power, ride and comfort. Useful amount of space. Smooth, quite, good tech features. The only things I don't like are 1) the location of the rear turn signals is too low. 2) the radio channel selection and windshield wiper selection is backwards. Should go up for higher channel or faster wiper, not down. 3) the wireless charging makes the phone too hot if it's also doing other things like navigation, tunes, etc. There should be a cooling vent to blow cold air on the phone when it's on the charge pad. Other than those things, I really like the car so far.
