Engine using oil at low mileage , Cruise control shifting is terrible.
What else can I say, the most important part of a vehicle is the engine and drive train durability. The Tucson engine started using oil at 45,000 miles and continues to do so. And from what I am told at the dealer before any work can be done on the engine the vehicle has to use more than a quart of oil every 1,000 miles before the warranty expires, which cause me to believe that Hyundai wants to put off correcting the problem long enough for the warranty to expire and then the owner has a piece of junk shortly thereafter. I have to conclude the 100,000 mile warranty is a scam.
The cruise control is the worst I have ever experienced. It regularly down shifts to 5,000 rpm or more on medium road grades or with moderate head winds.
