Very bad production precision

Hyundai provides some equips which are only available in other brands higher trims. But they get very bad production precisions. Gaps are horribly excessive, door cannot fits into the car frame, vent gates cannot fully close.

Disappointed

Bought new and the past 3 months I have no sound from my speakers no sound from safety features no radio on XM radio and no Bluetooth do not work. Anything with sound does not work. Took the vehicle back to the dealership. They said there’s nothing further they can do because they do not know if it needs a part or that something has to get fixed.

Great vehicle but mileage is so disappointing

The vehicle was great externally, and on the test drive. However, once I took it home, I proceeded to notice that the mileage I was receiving in my hybrid was much lower than promised. Upon doing more research, there were accounts of others, receiving the same problem, which improved after the first couple of thousand miles. I waited until 3000 miles and continued to receive the exact same mileage I received when I first took the vehicle home. After calling my dealership, I brought my car in and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it and there was nothing they could do. I am currently receiving between 25 and 27 mpg on highway driving and between 28 and 30 mpg in city on a promise of an average of 36/37 City/Highway. I am very disappointed at this sense I have a friend who currently has a non-hybrid Kona that she can get up to 40 miles per gallon when driving conservatively. I drive very conservatively never going above speed limits and not using the Excelerator often and also continue to drive my hybrid and eco-mode and I am getting nowhere near that. I am fueling up constantly, and it is defeating the entire purpose of me purchasing a hybrid. So disappointing.

Good Car, but the media sounds disappear

Good car overall, but the media sound disappear for no reason and it’s a brand new car. I mean all sounds are gone like radio, gps, an any media devices that you use that produce a sound. I had to disconnect my battery to bring the sound back. Engineers need to look into this. I hope they fix this issue.

Like it, don’t love it.

Don’t hate it, but I’d never buy one again. Not a quality thing. Lacking: Interior/screen design/functionality, particularly when driving. Note to self: try to use controls while test-driving. Seat comfort/positions/adjustment. Seat material. HATE: BACKUP BEEPING.

Meh

The biggest turn off has been the wind noise I hear constantly when I drive 35-45 mph …. The worst part is the service to handle this problem !!! Everybody just keeps saying “there’s no fix” apparently Hyundai is more than happy to mass produce a flawed product and sell it as is !!!

Average cost

Need more features in the sel model, no compass, no way to lock your doors when exiting car except for using remote or pad on door handle, not good when using in cold weather with gloves on. When in stop and go mode brakes seem to be lock on when restarting and starting to move forward.

Nice vehicle/poor service

We like the vehicle but our service was poor. It was over a month from when we were supposed to get our car. I always called them they rarely took the initiative. Wife & I were stressed because they didn't get dealer contract sent until 1st payment was due & they were not communicating. They accommodated us by making our first payment.

Didn't get approved for a used 2020 Santa Fe but got approved for a brand new 2023 tuscon . Feel bamboozled but overall car is nice for it being my first car. I also had to put my license plates on by myself

Transmission issues

The car is amazing. Has a lot of room for the kids and is very comfortable. The car we purchased is starting to have transmission and electric problems/issues. We took it to the dealer to have it fix to only be told they couldn’t find anything wrong. Are car only has 1988 miles.

ok Car

Acceleration is not great, sub-par gas mileage.. Styling looks nice. Back tailgate easy to set at desired height and open and close. Backup camera good when pulling out of a spot. Lane change beeping notifcation if another car is near you.

2023 Hyundai Tucson is a nice looking vehicle. However it gets low gas mileage, noisy ride, has a lousy entertainment system and has a small gas tank which makes long trips even longer. Comfort ride..

Poor fuel economy and untrustworthy safety systems

Average fuel economy is significantly lower than advertised. The sensors for emergency breaking are extremely sensitive and inaccurate during cold weather below zero and have slammed on the brakes at high speeds when there is no car in front of me but when there is one to the side when approaching from the rear in the other lane. The same problem occurs while using the smart cruise control making it risky or dangerous to use those systems especially in winter weather conditions.

Nice features, but missing a few things.

The slightly bigger engine give you more power. Excelleration s better then the 2.0. They took away the extra upfront storage space. Yo think for the amount they charge for these Tucsons you could get a small coin holder in the console , or a sunglasses holder. The features are good. I'm leery about Hyundai oil consumption problem we burn a little more than a half qt. Of oil on our first 2000 miles. I find that unusual, because my 2007 never burned oil, my 2017 burned a ton of oil on highway. I'm very leery about this 2023 Tucson.

Love the vehicle-hate the fact that there is a known issue with the sunroof

I bought my 2023 Hyundai Tucson in December. Less that 2 months later as I was driving on the highway my sunroof shattered. I called the Hyundai customer service and was told 'definitely under warrant', which I hadn't even considered that it wouldn't be. To be clear I was driving in the HOV lane when a the roof exploded on me & my passengers. I was given a case number & told to take it to the nearest dealership. I got there - gave them the case number - they didn't even bother to look at the car or check to see if I was ok. The service employee @ Ken Garff in Surprise brushed me off to someone else over the phone, who told me that it wasn't under warranty & I needed to file a claim with my insurance. I double checked with the service worker & told him that I had googled it & its a known problem - he then told me that it isn't a problem with Tucsons, just the Sante Fe's. I called the 800 number again & they told me they'd investigate & set me up with a case manager. The Case manager called & said they'd call me back the next Monday. On Thursday of the next week I l started calling back and though everyone I talked to was nice, everyone said they'd check into & get back with me .....and .... NO ONE EVER DID! I ended up going through my insurance to get my roof fixed, but am traumatized and scared to drive it now. I'm thankful that my grandkids weren't in the car with me when it happened.

It’s Okay

It’s a bit ridiculous and unfortunate that you get so many “basic” features with this “advanced” model. Only the driver seat is power operated, the sunroof is basic, the lift gate button has to be pressed and HELD in order to work instead of one press, the mirrors don’t turn in when I lock the doors and the interior gets dirty and dusty VERY easily. Also the doors unlock only SOMETIMES when I am standing right there with the key in hand and pulling the handle; I get stuck at the WORST times trying to find my key when other times it opens right up. Smh

Not as good as the 2021 Hyundai Tucson

Too many useless & overbearing features that don't let YOU drive the car. Not enough storage or vents. It shouldn't be pushing buttons instead of how you want to drive. This is the 5th Hyundai I have owned & very concerned about being the last.

Great car with some poor choice features

Zero storage. Bluelink stinks. Smart Cruise is irritating & can't be changed to normal cruise. Beautiful headlight/park lights. Nice tires/wheels. Very roomy. Ambient lighting is very nice. Computer screen, sound system, all electronic features are really nice.

The pro’s- excellent styling, good ride, Bose audio is great, lighting is good looking going down the road. Excellent warranty.The con’s- hard on gas, have to fill up often, no driving range, low on power on hills and passing. Engine has surge, vibrations at low rpm’s.
