Bad design of the service inspection reporting
the actual service part was great, no problems. Their system of computer reports and emails is garbage. At this point I cannot get a copy of the service/inspection report, since the system tells me its been disabled and will not show a copy. Talking to the service rep, he also does not have access, so I dont have the report.

Thank you for your business and your review.  When you booked your appointment online, it was for the 52,500 mile service.  This service includes an oil change, tire rotation, cabin air filter replacement, and a multi point inspection.  We performed all of these services for you except the replacement of your cabin air filter.  We inspected your cabin air filter during the inspection and your filter was in good shape and did not need to be replaced yet, so we did not replace it.  We don't ever want to do any work that is not needed, and that was the case with your cabin air filter.  Being we did not replace your filter, there was not any charge for it either.

The person who answered the phone was not helpful when I called to schedule the appointment. She put me on hold several times and I had to continue to repeat myself because she wasn't giving her attention to our conversation. Then it took a long time to get help when we came in for service.

Total lack of professionalism
This service appointment was my first and after the repairs are finished it will be my last visit to this location. The advisor was accusatory, and unhelpful. It took 7 hours to complete an oil change a diagnose a faulty lane assistance sensor. They didn't have parts so had to order them and now I have to wait 2-3 weeks for the second appointment. This is after I already waited 3 weeks to get the initial visit. Needs great improvements.

Service Department Needs Improvement
My first appointment to get the Auto Stop/Start function fixed concluded with "we can't find anything wrong, there are no error codes so here is a sheet of paper telling you how the system should work". I knew how it should work, I needed it to actually work. The second appointment had them unable to get to my vehicle that day and would need to keep it overnight. I had dropped it off at 7am (Service Advisor was a bit rude) and I got that phone call around 2:15pm. Now I have to make a third appointment to try and get this repaired and its around two months out. They claim to be the #1 in Service but I am dumbfounded how they can claim that.

Waiting at dealership for 3.5 hours and then discovering that the work of my vehicle had not even been started when they
were were aware - or should have been aware - that when the appt. was made it was indicated that we would be waiting
at the dealership for the work to be completed. And then having to leave before all the work was done, due to time constraints.

Good morning.  I apologize for any inconvenience.  We never want to let you down.  I understand we attempted to grab the car this morning to change the oil and return it quickly but there was some confusion.  I will work with the staff for us to be clearer on our communication.  I think its human nature that we know what we are thinking but we leave out key details.  I believe the other day Mario asked what number can I call you when it is done assuming that was saying you need to leave it.  We should have confirmed that the car was being dropped off.  Today it sounds like we were trying to correct the concern but we didn't discuss the plan in detail.  We were going to grab the car, run it straight here, put it in the shop immediately, and return right afterwards.  I believe you were expecting a loaner and we were not prepared for it.  I do hope that we can resolve this issue for you.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to talk.  Thank you and have a wonderful day.

A rare experience.
I usually received good service from San Tan; however, this time was not the same as the others. Air filter hose was loose and one of the bracket was broken after the visit. Got recommendation for up coming services such as “fail” serpentine belt but did not explain “fail” as if it would break in next hundreds miles or it needs to be replaced now? And other things. They washed the car though.

Excessive cost of repair-RESCORE
After a useful discussion with Robert Bullard at San Tan Hyundai, I've decided to give their service dept another opportunity to service my car. I must express that, although the original quote for the belt replacement was excessive and would have been adjusted downward, the fact that seeing that to continue driving the car might have been risky, they did nothing to accommodate me and replace the belts while the car was already in the shop. I had to scramble about finding someone to do the work as soon as possible during the busy hoiiday time.

Excessive cost of repair
I recently had oil change service provided at San Tan Hyundai which was performed satisfactorily. A routine inspection of the car revealed excessively cracked/damaged accessory drive belts; air conditioning and alternator (among other things). They wanted $250 per belt which made me anxious not only because the cost was so high, but more importantly, I had planned a holiday road trip which I thought I might have to cancel because of my concern about the belts failing. As it turns out, they couldn't replace the belts that day and I would need to schedule another appointment. They couldn't do it until after the holiday. Luckily, I was able to to find another auto service who replaced the belts the same day and for only 1/3 the quoted cost from San tan Hyundai. I inspected the belts that were replaced; only one showed some glazing and a few cracks and the other showed some wear. Because one of the belts needed to be removed in order to replace the worse one, it made sense to replace both at the same time.

I've been having my car serviced at San Tan Hyundai for quite a few years, but their greed has lost me as a customer.

Good afternoon.  I apologize for the confusion.  With as many visits as you have with us, I hope you know that is not how we do business here.  The way the technician filled out the inspection broke the two belts apart and so it displayed to you as two seperate repairs.  We would have never charged you $500 to replace two belts.  The default price for belts is $250 to cover a broad range of vehicles.  The replacement would have actually cost $191.43 out the door.  Please return my call so we can resolve this concern.  We do not want to lose you as a loyal San Tan Hyundai customer.  Have a good day.

Complete disregard to recording service in logbook.
Because the logbook was not filled out in January, I mentioned I was leaving it on the armrest between the two front seats, easily available to be recorded by the workers responsible. When finished, I paid & asked if the book had been logged, told yes. Not true.
