friendly staff
Typically I have a superior experience with the service department. There were hiccups this time. I was having my Sonata serviced with a recall. Repairs were made and I paid and picked-up my car. I traveled only a short distance and the check engine light came on. Back to the shop! I am not sure why or how this occurred? It was a day and half before the part was sent and replaced. The service department was ,however, very accommodating and had a rental car ready for me.

A Date with Eckert
I had a concern about a light on
my dashboard so called my local Hyundai’s service department. The person who answered the phone was very understanding and ready for me to make an appointment to drive my car to them. Upon arrival at the dealership, I was promptly met by a technician who recorded my concerns. I went inside and waited until an employee came and got me. I was treated courteously and directed to the clerk in charge of the financial part and giving me my receipt. She told
me how the problem on my car had been fixed and notified me that the techs were also able to fix two recalls on parts as well. I noticed that the “next scheduled service” update was changed on my car which is a concern. However, I plan to call the service department and ask them directly. I trust them to address my concern with total honesty.

I’ve been here a few times now and have received varying degrees of service. Sometimes they are really on top of things and communicate well, and sometimes no one tells me the car is going to be another hour. I know Eckert is capable of great service, but it can be inconsistent.

Service needed for oil leak while out of town
So I was in the Denton area for Thanksgiving with family. I live in San Antonio, TX. I noticed a large amount of oil pooling below my car. I had to go back to families house to drop off groceries and went to Eckert dealership for service. This was about 11 am Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Was told would not even be looked at until Friday. So looked like planning to stay over the weekend. 3 Hourws later was called by dealership that the car was ready for pickup. I was skeptical especially being told would not look at until Friday. Well all the service that needed to be done was from recalls. They expediated my car and I picked it up by 4:30 pm that Wednesday. Incredible service. I did not rank the facilities or amenities very high because I never used any of them. I would highly recommend this dealership for future car purchases and service.
