Great Features, Terrible Reliability and Service Experience
I really wanted to love my Palisade. The comfort, technology, interior space, and features are pretty good, but my ownership experience has been overshadowed by a persistent drivetrain problem. The vehicle developed a noticeable hesitation/rough downshift around 16mph that multiple Hyundai dealers initially dismissed as normal or could not duplicate.
Eventually, Hyundai determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. My vehicle spent approximately six weeks in service, the first replacement transmission was defective, and a second transmission had to be installed. Despite TWO replacement transmissions being involved, the original hesitation/downshift problem still exists.
What has been most disappointing is how difficult it has been to get a legitimate concern acknowledged and resolved. A vehicle with this level of features should also provide confidence in its reliability and manufacturer support. Unfortunately, my experience has provided neither.
