Service needed with less then 1,000 miles

Lift gait on my Santa Fe caused the lift to open into a garage door that was closed and scratched the paint. Now the lift gait doesn’t be work at all

roomy and comfortable

The Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy is a roomy and exceptionally comfortable automobile for both driver and passengers. But don't believe the EPA estimates of up to 37 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway (36 mpg combined)

Over All 5 Stars

I will do the Cons first. Over 70 MPH and on hills, gas mileage drops way down. The front seat belt fasteners are hard to reach, which led me to install extensions. The learning curve to understand all the bells and whistles takes some time, but once you get it, the vehicle is a dream to drive. Pros: too many to name. Extremely comfortable on long trips. Performance engine and handling are outstanding. I am 84 years old, and have been driving since I was 15, and never thought I would enjoy a vehicle as much as I (we) are enjoying our Santa Fe.

Save your money and buy a Defender if you like the style

The vehicle engine and bakes are under powered and cheap imitation of a Land Rover Defender. I should have spent more money and bought the Defender instead. I will be trading this one in soon for a Defender. The Hyundai Seatle should be a 3 rd tier used car dealership and not representing Hyundai.

Great car; buggy applications

I love driving my Santa Fe Calligraphy, except when it starts doing weird things. Like telling me every 15 seconds to keep my hands on the wheel and my eyes on the road. When I'm already doing both and have the driver alert function disabled. And how it triggers the rear hatch to open when I walk by the car on a sidewalk in front of it. But won't lift the gate when I approach the back of the car. It identifies who the driver is, then slides the seat to the set position. But not always. It has lot of bells and whistles but the software is not intuitive. So I haven't been able to use much of them. I love the amount of space it has for cargo, almost identical to the larger Palisade.

My concern if I ever ran over something I don't have a spare people are constantly dropping things out of their trucks onto the highway and that's always a major concern cuz if I blow a tire I'm pretty much stuck.

Great Family Car, but with minor glitches

We have loved our Santa Fe since purchasing in Feb26. It is quite comfortable with an ample amount of features that live up to expectations 99% of the time. There are some minor computer 'glitches' that may have the potential to be addressed with future software updates.

So far so good

Liking the vehicle so far having come from a GM being a GM vehicle guy for 50 years. Love the size and room, wish it deflected road noise more on more worn roads. Wish I could lock doors while running vehicle for quick stop at gas station store in hot climate to be able to keep car cool. My gm’s could do this.

Buyer Beware

The Santa Fe hybrid losing power on hills—starving 4 cycle. Vehicle went from traveling 55 mph to 10mph. Had to recharge battery in shoulder before it would make it up a hill. This had to be repeated twice to get home. Next day the same thing happened. It was towed off a major road to the dealership. The car spent 2 months with little help or support from Hyundai during this time.

Great Vehicle

This Hybrid Santa Fe Calligraphy replaced a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. It has more bells and whistles than the Palisade and it definitely has better MPG. I love this car and the bells and whistles are extremely helpful.

Overall happy with vehicle. This said MPG on at 32 vs 34-35 expected. Also, we are disappointed with the quality of some of the finishes on car the trim throughout.
