Most $$ car that doesn't get used

EVERY time this vehicle goes for a routine oil change, something else is wrong with it! Understand, this car is a "backup" to our regularly used vehicles. HATE that it doesn't have key access to passenger and hatchdoors. If the fob goes bad, you're screwed! Also, no opening mechanism inside the vehicle to open the hatchback, fob only? Whose bright idea is this!

Smooth ride. Comfortable and reliable.

Many good things I like about the Santa Fe Sport but... it has blind spots- hard to see backing up. Passenger seat too low and cannot be raised like the driver's seat. Continental tires are bad, headlights aimed too low for distance sight at night (I had to watch a YouTube video to fix it) Why hasn't the software been updated if there is an update for other models of the same year?

I like my Hyundai Santa Fe. Nevertheless, I still enjoy driving and gets me to a lot places.

However, I only wish my Hyundai Santa Fe was a lot bigger in size. I really do not have anymore to say about my Hyundai Santa Fe; moreover, it's a reasonable and an economical vehicle to have and drive.

Truth is stranger than fiction

When I bought my car some of the car features that I wanted were like remote car start and updates to GPS and current traffice situations. What I wish I would have been told is that these features are not standard equipment to the car and would cost me $300.00 additional dollars a year to have them. I bought this car with outright cash. I feel like I already put enough money into a car to get the desired amenities. Fortunately, I like the car but I don't love it because of the extra fees required for the amenities I want. It is definitely set up to make you feel like you still have a car payment to make even though it is just once a year. Not exactly a good feeling. I wanted a green colored car and could not get one, because the color was not available at the time. Another disappointment. Did not expect recalls. So far have experienced 3 recalls.

Seats could be more comfortable.

Seats could be more comfortable. Specially when you have to drive for a few hours without stopping. Vehicle looks great, and I have no mechanic spendings, only regular maintenance changing oli and filter every 3 thousand miles. Thanks, Hyundai!!!

Faulty engine and badly designed seats

The 2016 Sante Fe Sport AWD could have been a great car if Hyundai did not have a major car engine issue. Hyundai has decided not to disclose this information to the American public even though they have extended the engine warranty. The Santa Fe leather seats are cheap and designed poorly for lengthy trip comfortability. The 2016 does offer a great features package that you cannot find or have to pay a pretty penny in the newest models.

I had a Ford Escape and better financing. You wouldn't take my trade in either!

I am seriously not getting another re: it seems like it's more in the shop that my previous veh! My daughter has a Honda Pilot and I like it better than this veh. It's larger and she feels very safe!

I like my FORD Escape better!

As stated before, I have had three (3) trucks. The first was a Toyota RAVE 4 and I bought it 2/yrs old. My FORD Escape had an excellent rate. This Hyundai needs too much maintain and it costs a lot. It woudn't take my trade in either!

Still love the brand but...

This is my 2nd Hyundai, they are a great value but they are beginning to cheapen their construction. They have also tied their auto start app to 2G technology which will devalue your car when they shut it down - FYI. They need to bulk up the cup holders in the backseat, as they are extremely flimsy.

Like the bells and whistles but horrible MPG...

I grew fond of the long warranty on a previous Hyundai but never kept one long enough to really use it. Well this vehicle has had several issues to include air conditioning becoming faulty 2 years in row (since wasn't fixed properly first time), rear hatch sensor needed replaced, the antenna for Blue Link no longer works (and isn't disconnected yet), the latch on glove box failed and needed replaced is what I can readily think of. But the poor gas mileage is what really is disappointing. It's a 4 cylinder turbo but I may as well have gotten a truck and then if at least have real power! I do love the heated seats/steering wheel along with the blind spot thing and downhill assist. It's OK. Wasn't cheap. Just expected a bit better product/gas mileage.

With all features loaded this a very nice vehicle

I have Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T AWD with Ultimate Package. It very nice car with all features comparable to high end segments. Car Handling/cornering is good. Even though its just 400 miles and early to say, I could get highway mileage of 26/27(manual indicated is 24). City I am getting 16-19. It has good power to speed. Would love if acceleration is more smoother, a bit effort to do but once up, it picks up. Riding is good calm cabin. Could be best if Suspension could be improved further. Over all its a very good vehicle and could be best with little work on above points

Good driving experience

This is my second Santa Fe but the first I have leased loaded with all available features. The driving experience is excellent. Seats are extremely supportive and comfortable. Mileage on the interstate is about 27, in the city under 20. Only serious complaint is that Hyundai does not equip the 2016 Santa Fe Sport with adaptive cruise control or forward collision avoidance technology while it does come with rear and blind spot detection/altertingalerting which works very well. Given the price range, Hyundai needs to fix this. Otherwise I am pleased with my 2016 Santa Fe Sport.
