I love my 2016 Hyundai

I love driving my 2016 Santa fe and all the features you get for your money. My husband is 6'3 and is more comfortable in our Hyundai than in the Ford Cross over. Room in front and back he has leg room no matter where he sits, not that he sits in the back seat ;)

2016 Santa Fe Sport Front-Wheel Drive 2.4 L Engine

Purchased new in early 2016. Front drive, 2.4L. 23,000 plus miles so far.. Overall very good vehicle with more extras standard than comparable Toyota, Honda, Nissan SUVs. Gas milege 18-21 miles around town, 28 mpg or more on highway. Controls easy to figure out and use. However, ride poor on rough W. PA secondary roads. Seatbelts do not retract very well. A number of marks on doors from doors closing on unretracted seatbelts. Polish impossible to remove from exterior plastic trim should you get some on trim. Some neutral color other than black would be better for interior floor trim and carpeting. Have had condensation on interior of headlights. Replaced them but back again.

Sante fe Sport

Overall a good SUV, as soon as my bumper to bumper warranty exspired check engine like came on and cost $200 to fix issue. I have purchased Hyundai’s since 1985 and like the over all product. It’s the dealer and service that makes or break this vehicle.

2016 Santa Fe review

I have had my 20016 Santa Fe for about 2 1/2 years. This the 4th Santa Fe I have owned. I have been consistently satisfied with them but have had some issues when backing up. The redesign created blind spots. I believe the new backup screens will eliminate this issue so will be certain to purchase that option next time.

The Santa Fe Sport is a quality vehicle compared to similar SUVs in the same price range. Excellent value for its cost. I enjoy the ride and handling coupled with the add-on features included.

I bought the vehicle based on cost research and performance characteristics compared to similar make/models, and have not been disappointed. However, the wind noise was distracting at first and I'm a bit disappointed that the gas mileage has dropped off. Also I have had the vehicle for only 30 months and I'm discouraged that the trade value is much lower than I would expect it to be.

Long time customer

I have been an long time Hyundai customer and came back to trade in my previous 2004 Santa Fe for a new model. I looked at other makes and models but felt that they didn't handle and feel as sturdy as others I tried. This car has good acceleration when needed. Love the 5 yr roadside assistance available. As a mature woman driving, this was an important feature I looked for. Really like the fog and auto on light options. Not happy about the backup screen as it's visually impeded on sunny days because it doesn't have enough cowling to make it more visible. Maybe the angle is wrong? My husband has an Equinox and his screen is always usable when needed. The airflow blowers in this 2016 don't have the power I had in my 2004 Santa Fe. But I am happy to see that backseat air vents were added to cool people there as well as in the front seats. I still see some issues when trying to remove the fog on the windshield on rainy or snowy days. Condensation still occurs on the inside of the windshield. Wish there was a split option to the sun visors so you could shield from the front and also the side at the same time. The Bluetooth call option does not work well with all my phone features and plugging into the USB port instead of the plug option the car tries to read my files instead my GPS option. Not thrilled about interior seating color choices with this car....would have preferred a complimentary Rust, Grey, or Dark Grey with a Rust insert. Thanks for allowing me to give you my review.

Great Value

My vehicle is great on gas. It's a smooth ride and the vehicle is quiet. The sound system is wonderful as well. Comfortable seating and roomy. Plenty of trunk space. The back seats fold down which allows more room for transporting long boxes.

I really like my car. It has good pick up with turbo. I have had no issues with the car, has been a reliable, spacious family car for my family and I. When at. The dealer for service I was checking out the Tucsons...that may be my next vehicle option.

Hyundai Santa Fe sport

Love the look and ride of the Santa Fe sport. Quiet cabin. White pearl color looks great with fresh coat of wax. Comfortable seating. Above average sound system without being premium sound package. Great warranty 5yr/60,000 mile. 100,000 power train. Gave 4/5 stars. 2 reasons - lower fuel economy than suvs in same class getting 21 mixed driving. 2.4 L 4 cylinder. Lastly pulling out in cross traffic while in eco-mode pushed gas down, had no throttle(gas to floor with nothing). Car regained throttle in about 2 sec. scary moment for family pulling out in traffic. Reviewed with dealer, no codes found. Researched online. Has been issue with other owners. Have not used eco-mode again and has not happened again. All and all would recommend Santa Fe sport.

"16 Santa Fe

Bought this vehicle when downsizing from 2 vehicles to one. Traded in a 2009 Santa Fe LTD. It's a little more cramped spacewise than the LTD but still is adequate for our needs. It looks good and mostly performs well.

Great car

I love my Santa feed. I got the technology package although I do not use most of the things. The car drives well. Great on gas. It is stylish and I feel proud everytime I am in my car. The only reason I didn't give a five star is that the resale value of the car drops really fast. I don't think it is fair because this is a great car and it performs very well.

2016 Santa Fe Sport

The vehicle is what we expected. It is comfortable and good around town. It also works on the highway trip. Our Santa Fe sport is the lowest trim level and the only shortcoming I generally see is that it does not have a back up camera. All levels of all cars should have back up cameras.

We enjoy it.

I love the spaciousness. At times I travel with my elderly parents and a walker and wheelchair fit perfectly in the back plus whatever else we are taking. The back seats have great room to enjoy a comfortable long ride. The front is also comfortable. The only negatives i see are the blindspot when backing up. I have to be extra careful and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone who has trouble turning FULLY around to double check before backing up. I also hear quite a bit of wind noise as I drive. That is a bit annoying. I wish something could be done about these two things, then it would be perfect!

Accelerator hesitation from slow speeds forward

Like the vehicle for body style, AWD, hatchback load carrying ability, heated seats for winter, decent gas mileage. I had the vehicle in for service twice for accelerator hesitation from slow forward speed and problem still happens, could be a serious problem when moving forward from a stop into crossing traffic and not being able to accelerate forward.

problem with lagging

We have had this problem ever since we bought the car. It only happens when cold. The car will hesitate and then picks up again. We had the car in to the dealership a few times. Nothing can be found. We have become accustomed to it but still annoying

I love my Santa Fe Sport. Absolutely love it ... except for the visibility. It's just not great. It's difficult to clearly see when looking over my shoulders for whatever reason. But that's it. Other than that (which, admittedly, is kind of a big deal), I do love the car.
