Slow Response

the engine noise is rather loud for a new car plus when trying to accelerate there is no response, the car just continues at the same speed unless you floor it. Trying to set up more than one phone is impossible. My wife and I trade off taking each of our Hyundais' and neither one will let us set up a second phone.

Santa Fe Sport 2017

"A" post obstructs vision when turning, needs handle on doors to grab to shut doors, especially driver side, has poor heat blowing to driver's side dash, hatch difficult to lift and close, cloth seat covers should always be nylon/polyester short pile for easy cleaning--do NOT like our "tan" cloth seat covers, should have a trash bag hook on R side of front column like my 2005 Tucson had, too many buttons to push for heat, temp, and A/C. Radio and front "menu" is difficult to operate.

One year later

I've had the car for a year now, and there are some features that are not the best for me. Door swings too far out, Bluelink feature worked great, when I needed it for a minor event on a major highway.

Love everything except the interior

Everything about the Santa Fe is great except a few items in the interior that I hope they will think about in their redesign. The main problem is the headliner where it meets the winshield. Instead of a nice seam the cloth just ends and is frayed and looks terrible and cheap. It should be wrapped around or have a tight clean seam but looks like someone just cut it with scissors. The other things are more minor. The console under the radio/climate control is hard to reach and the material on the passenger side dashboard feels like some weird rubber that is hard to clean. Why not just use the same material from the rest of the dash. Overall, love the car outside of the few interior isues

NICE TRUCK BUT

VERY NICE TRUCK INSIDE AND OUTSIDE BUT THE 2.4 ENGINE IS TO HEAVY FOR THAT SIZE VEHICLE and is LACKING HORSEPOWER .

Nice Looking SUV But Rear Seats Shake

The SUV is a nice looking vehicle however, the rear seats shake and are noisy. It is very distracting when driving. While the bolts are tight, no one seems to be able to figure out why they do this. Apple Care Play is difficult to add on.

Door handle lock

The lock on the door handle work only 50% of the time. I have to dig the fob out to unlock the doors. So, what good does the door handle lock do me?

Four cylinder engine is dangerously underpowered in Santa Fe Sport.

The 2.4 four cylinder is way too weak for this weight vehicle. Dangerously under-powered. You need to use the manual shift on the automatic or passing is dangerous.

Not so great

The pick up on SantaFe Sport AWD model is not good. Gas mileage is bad. You have to to the dealership for oil changes two times more as compared with Toyotas. I would not recommend this model to anyone.

Shaking back seat

The Santa Fe Sport is a nice looking SUV. It is very comfortable to drive. However, there is an obvious defect in the back seats as they shake and vibrate. This is accompanied by a strange, high pitched noise all of which is very distracting to the driver. According to Hyundai, the shaking seat is due to the fold down mechanism of the seat. Of course this is nonsense since other car makers' vehicles do not do this. I am not impressed with the SUV and do not recommend it.

Not enough clearance to comfortably enter vehicle. Too much glare inside. Dash and window framing at wrong angle causing a lot of glare inside. Console could be designed to be more useful
