Hyundai could have hit it out of the park for me with the Santa Fe Sport Ultimate, but mine has been plagued with a couple of defects
I had been wanting a Hyundai SUV for quite a long period of time, because I loved the styling, technology and features that came with the vehicles. I leased a Santa Fe Sport Ultimate a few months ago, and the 4th day I had it, I stopped at a red light in a busy intersection and it would not move forward at all when the light changed. It had to be towed back to the dealer. It also had an annoying vibration/squeak/rattle in the back seat that was driving me nuts - all in less than a week. The problem with the Drive function (a sensor apparently) was corrected the 1st time I took it in. The squeaky/rattling back seat took 3 times into the dealer to get it corrected (hopefully now fixed). The rear seat track had to be replaced the 3rd time in. The saving grace has been Norm Reeves sales and service staff and their management team. They have bent over backwards to make me a happy customer in many ways. They are the only reason I am not currently working with a lemon lawyer. I like so many things about this car, and these 2 items have tainted my experience unfortunately. If it hadn't been for these problems, the Santa Fe Sport would be my favorite car purchase - and I have had GMs, Fords, BMW, Mercedes, etc. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing now, because I want to continue to do business with Norm Reeves Hyundai - plain and simple.
