Review of 2023 Tucson Hyuandia

Car has too many complicated features. Have had the car two years and still do not know how to operate half of them or even what some of them are. The feature I dislike most is the reverse alarm. Had I known it was on the car I would not have purchased it. Interior is not roomy enough. Regret I made such a hasty decision on the purchase.

My 2023 Hyundai Tucson experience

Going on 3 years of ownership and my Hyundai has performed very well so far. It’s been fun to drive and the gas mileage during in town driving has been very good. Very small issues I have encountered have been a very slight hesitation (not always) from a standing stop. Also, I find the seat to be uncomfortable on longer road trips (4+ hours).

Overall satisfied with the vehicle

Overall great but the build is very delicate, even a collision with a bucket on the road causes lot of a repair costs.

Drives well but not dependable

If I don’t drive it within 24 hours everything shuts down and I have to use key to open doors and then hit the battery button for it to start. To pay almost $40,000 for this car. The first year was great 2nd year started having problems and they said this was normal to protect the battery which I feel is a lie. It’s a defect and they know it.

Compressors issues

My car is only 2 years old and the AC compressor has already need replaced? Thank goodness it was under warranty but IMO this doesn't speak well for future reliability.

In town mileage is great. Highway mileage is a little disappointing. Headwinds greatly effect the mileage.

Fun to drive, but MPG disappointing

Overall a solid car. Weaknesses: MPG isn't as advertised. My wife's RAV4 gets 35+ on MPG. I'm getting 31-32 at best. Rear windows don't go down unless holding down control button. RAV4 has all 4 windows on auto roll down. A/C is fairly weak for a quick cool down of cabin - RAV4 much stronger on climate control. Touch controls are not an easy thing to do on the road, can be a safety issue.

I have had several close calls with accidents with this auto.

I like the car but the hesitation issue is very dangerous and I wish I would have bought another vehicle.

It’s second home to me but…

My experience with the Hyundai Tucson has been overwhelmingly positive, and I take pride every time I’m behind the wheel. However, a minor incident in the initial months did leave a bit of a negative impression. Aside from that, I’m extremely satisfied with the vehicle.

We have had 5 Hyundai vehicles and love them. It's a brand you can count. My husband feels better knowing I am driving a dependable yet affordable car. We have severe winter weather, and we know we can get to where we are going without worries. Hyundai lives up to their promises.

Generally very competent vehicle

Rear wiper blade coverage is nearly useless. Aesthetically looks good but the area it clears leaves very poor visibility. The ride on uneven surfaces is rough and jolting. My car only has 9,000 miles on it so I can’t realistically comment on quality. A bit disappointed with the fuel economy I’d expect @65 mph I’d get closer to 40 mpg as opposed to the 32-35 it achieves

Very good, but not great

Overall I really like my 2023 Tucson hybrid. It gets about 30-31 MPG and has good pickup and ride. There a few quirks I’m not happy about, including a slight rollback after putting the car in Park and inconsistent ability to use the keyless entry. My experience has been mainly positive, though.
