Great car.

Great electronic features including some luxury surprises (e.g., seat movement for entry/exit). Good hybrid experience -- the engine/motor transition works well and produces a quiet ride. My only complaints are that the backup beep is way too loud (impossible to leave the driveway without waking up the spouse), and that the IRL mpg is ~20% lower than advertised, even in summer.

Safe AND fun!

I love my Hyundai Tucson. I struggle with poor spatial awareness, slow reaction time, and distractibility, and this car has saved me many times. I am also a woman of a certain age, so the ventilated seats are a must. I enjoy taking long trips and using the Bluetooth option as well as the Apple Play. Everyone who rides in the car says it is comfortable and smooth.

Happy

I love my Tuscon's heated and AC seats throughout the vehicle! I just wish the vents were bigger and had a wider range of coverage. They are too slim and narrow and don't always do the job.

Nice vehicle but lousy mpg

R Mpg rated at 37 city and 37 highway. That's a joke! Highway Mpg might be 25 on a good day. Where they got their numbers God only knows. At actual highway speeds there is no way to even get close to 30 Mpg.

Problems

If I don’t drive my car for 10 days, the battery dies. And, it is virtually impossible to get the key in the key fob. So I end up having to call AAA.

Hyundai Warranty Support

The vehicle is great except for a fluttering noise at highway speeds. This appears to be a known product issue, but I have not had any warranty support from the Dealership or Hyundai USA. I am going to try another Dealership for my next scheduled service.

Great car but could get a little better gas mileage

Tucson rides comfortably, drives well, and the smart safety features are really nice. Had a few issues with a problematic warning lights and a couple of minore recalls. Overall, a good quality smaller SUV.

great economy -I love the car

The car is currently 19 months old. Economy is quite good and the range is adequate. I have kept actual calculated mileage since purchasing the car. Accumulated mileage is 32.5 mpg. Much better mileage in the warmer months (even with AC) than when using the heat and heated seats and steering wheel. The design if the rear window makes a quick gas station clean quite difficult and even difficult for automatic car washes. The GPS and infotainment system is the best in all of the cars I have owned when connected by cable, but the phone while driving is almost adequate. I would buy another the next time I am in the market. My biggest issue was the Washington Hyundai dealership strict 7500 mile between service policy. After weeks of texts and even post cards from Hyundai, that dealership refused twice in scheduling an appointment. When i finally got in at a bit over 6200 miles the service manager pulled out his ipad and made us sign that we would not bring the car back in until 15000 miles. I wrote Hyundai and they were not concerned at all.

Exploding Sunroof

Basically I love the car. However, my sunroof exploded. Though the Tucson wasn't on the list of vehicles with exploding sunroofs, multiple Kia and Hyundai products were. The photographs of the sunroofs on those vehicles are more than similar to the photograph of our sunroof.

Overall pretty good, but AC is pretty weak

Runs well. I don't think the electronics are as good as Toyota provides. AC is weak and dealer is uninterested in looking into it.

the car has surpassed our expectations

we leased this car as we were not 100% sold on Korean cars but when our lease expires in September, we are most likely going to buy the car. It is very quiet on the highway with many near luxury type details; that attention to detail is part of the reason why we bought a Hyundai over both Toyota and Honda.

great value especially for commuters

I purchased a Tucson hybrid non plug in model. The key issues were that I did not have to have high voltage charging and the longest warranty available. I bought a model with as many features that I could get. I drive about 15 miles into a city for work and have millage averaging 35 MPG. With the electrical and mechanical motors I have very good acceleration and can cruse at higher speeds with ease.
