Versatile and a Delight to Drive

The Tucson is a delight to drive. Remarkably agile with a small turning circle, compact yet with a huge amount of room. Comfortable seats, flexible, whether for commuting or long country trips. Features are excellent, not showy but just what one needs. My only reservation is that the car has required two sets of repairs that it should not have done for its low mileage.

Hyundai Tucson

I have a 2012 Hyundai Tucson. It's a great SUV and good on gas. The only thing I would have changed is when I put my car in park it automatically unlocks the door. I want to unlock my own doors.

Tucson is Awsome

3rd best vehicle I've ever owned, and I have been driving for over 45 years. The 2nd best was also a Hyundai. Everything about this 2012 Hyundai Tucson which I purchased in September of 2011 has been appreciated by me from then"get-go". I'm retired now and I currently drive for UBER a few hours a week. Believe me when I tell you I keep my autos pristine. There is not a week that goes by without one of my UBER customers complimenting on the car's comfort and looks. I really enjoy the maneuvering of this vehicle. It turns on a dime and handles better than any other vehicle I've owned. I'm definitely purchasing a new one when it's time.

2012 Tuscan LTD outstanding comfort, roomy, decent milage not the very best mileage though

I leased several High end SUV's just prior to buying my Hyundai Tuscan. I did this out of loyalty for an outstanding brand. Hyundai believes in their product, I had two other models an 2002 Elantra GLS (still going strong with > 200K miles!). On two occasions Hyundai took care of costly out of warranty repairs for me under warranty conditions. As a result, I stand by this brand and stopped buying the Fords, Mercury's and other USA made vehicles as they didn't believe in their vehicles its shameful the difference in warranty coverage. A Ford Escape got about 34mpg during the week I had my Hyundai Elantra in shop, Hyundai helped out with this expense so between my insurance emergency coverage and Hyundai I had a high end upgrade for pittance. But I have sworn off Fords, I went to VW but they took my presence for granted and I walked out on the salesman when I looked at the Beetle like model.

Good car with some minor shortfalls

I prefer pedals and steering with a bit of resistance and that give me some feel of the road, that’s what sold me on the Hyundai Tucson compared with others I test drove. The car has held up feel this far and is backed by a strong warranty. A couple shortfalls that are worth noting... First, due to the plastic spoiler, it doesn’t appear there is any good way to attach a bike carrier to the vehicle. The carrier would probably stay on, but with repeated use I would be afraid the spoiler would break. Second, it doesn’t appear that a tow hook could be added to the car...if that is something you will ever want/need be sure to confirm whether this is possible.

Reliable car

My Tucson has been very reliable and stable in slippery conditions. It is not the most comfortable car I have driven but it is a very good car and I would recommend it. I do think there are some visibility problems. Some blind spots

I love this car, it hamdles superbly. I would have gotten the V6 though if i knew more about the 4 Cyl acceleration ability. The ride is smooth, even at speeds at 80 and the ride is quiet at the same time.

safety hazard

the side mirrors are so large and located in such a way that they obscure the driver's vision when making a turn. the fuel economy is only average. .the seats are comfortable with a good amount of room in the back.

Love my little Tucson but sad that I reported camera shorting out when it was still warranty and they "re-set" it a couple of different occasions but now that the warranty is up of course it no longer works. :(

TUCSON REVIEW

I have to admit the Tucson was not my first choice, but It felt nice when i first purchased my new SUV. I've taken it on a few trips and the handling and steering felt great and seemed to do quite well the first few years. It's not until after the five year mark that you start to notice the toll of the wear and tear the veichle takes on. I really wish this car was one of those that lasts, sadly I feel as the older the car gets the more problems I'm starting to get. It seems it's more better to trade after you've paid off you car because major or expensive parts start to give way even if you keep up with regular maintenance. I've driven cars way longer needing less care. It eould be nice if the tuscon was more comfortable after long rides as well.
