Beware the 2.0L & 2.4L engines

Our 2013 Tucson has the same 2.4L engine as the Santa Fe from the same year, but was not included in the recall where Hyundai added a function to detect engine knock in time to prevent serious engine damage. As a result, our Tucson suffered catastrophic damage within 25 miles at highway speed. Our Tucson has only 123k miles on it and we are the original owners. All service and maintenance was performed at local Hyundai dealerships at the recommended intervals. Hyundai’s recommended resolution to the engine blowing at 123k miles is to replace it with a USED engine with 75k miles—completely at our expense.

Car Thief Bait!!

Nothing about my new car matters because it is a car that is so easy to steal. Now I spend every day worrying if my car will be there when I go to drive it. This is ridiculous! I should not have to use a club on a brand new car. How could they not protect the whole car with a proper security system? What a cheap shortcut! I have bought 5 Hyundai’s- Never Again! Regardless of what type of ignition can be easily stolen, a thief will break into the car to find out, Hyundai sucks!

Great car for only 120 miles

Engine blew after 120k miles. All maintenance current and oil changes always on schedule. NEVER AGAIN. This was an absolute shock. Don’t waste your money on this car brand. They do not stand behind their product.

30 YEARS OF HYUNDAI'S

OWNING A HYUNDAI TUCSON (MY SECOND) HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE. FRIENDS (AND PEOPLE) HAVE ALWAYS ASKED WHY. I HAVE TOLD THEM CONSTANTLY THAT IF THEY WANT QUALITY ASSURANCE THAT THEY ARE BUYING THE BEST LOOKING AND OPERATIONAL AUTO AVAILABLE AND WONT EMPTY THERE WALLET. PERFORMANCE AND MILEAGE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN # 1 ON MY LIST. OWNING CARS AND DRIVING, BUILDING (ENGINES) AND RACING CARS FOR THE PAST 60 YEARS GIVES A PERSON A LITTLE EXPERIENCE.

I love it

I have been very happy with my Tucson. It handles well and is giving me good mileage. It is comfortable to drive as well as to be a passenger with. I haul a lots of items for the charity I volunteer with and love the ability to put the seats down with ease.
