Tuscon Overall Impression
When I first purchased the vehicle it had issues with the automatic shifter that caused me a great deal of grief and lost time. I was in operational danger when I travelled to Boston and suddenly lost reverse, and delays in shifting or a lack of shifting when going forward. Hyundai itself did very little to address my concerns, and my experiences appeared to mean nothing to their large corporate structure. The dealership put me in a rental when needed, and worked with me on more than one occasion to get the issues fixed. It's really the dealership that kept my business, not Hyundai. Bottom line, the vehicle is okay, nothing special. I wish a few things were different, like the seats going back a little further, and I'm only two-meters tall. I also wish that I had purchased some of the extras, like an automatic lift gate, and different rims. Also, the sound system is weak, I'm looking into adding something there. Gas mileage is average, but the four-wheel drive works well off-road and in inclement weather. Styling looks decent, I installed a bull-bar which looks nice, and there is plenty of room for passengers and groceries.
