Very rough shifting in the lower gears.

There are times the vehicle almost stalls out when attempting to move quickly after a stop. Hyundai claims that nothing can be done to "fix" the problem that the problem has been resolved with the newer models.

Not worth the price

*Less than 41,000 miles *5 recalls *Air conditioner has already been replaced *$420 in damage due to both speed sensors needing to be replaced due to mice (25 years driving and 1st time this happened)

Not as impressed as I was test driving

I’m not as impressed as I was when I did a test drive, I’ve noticed the interior when your on the thruway or when it’s raining is louder than expected almost sounds like it’s ready to come threw the floor. The rear cam has no sound detection when backing up and when your close to something It seems to be off by a few feet with the camera. The seats after a 3 year lease still feel hard and not comfortable. I love Hyundai bc this is my 3rd car with them I just don’t think the Tucson was at the top of their priority list.

2016 Hyundia Tucson

My wife and I have owned five Hyundias since 2001. Have never had any issues until this one. I have had window issues twice, BSD issues 4 times, transmission issues that kept it in the shop for almost 3 months. The 7 speed dual clutch transmission is a piece if garbage. I will never buy another vehicle with one in it, but to get the features I wanted, I had to buy the Limited which in 2016 only came with the 7 speed dual clutch.

Tuscon

I love the look and feel. Love the features: sunroof, heated seats, controls on steering wheel, car detection for lane change, rims, the room, and warranty. Don't like the slipping transmission, navigation system, windows motors breaking within 3 years of owning it. However, I've had several problems that concern me.

Cruise control

While the Tucson maintains set speed on up hill grades with cruise control on, transmission will not gear down after exceeding set speed by 12 mph and will then maintain that speed, never to return to set speed until highway levels out. 2nd transmission in this vehicle, first one was bad from the beginning until it was finally replaced after 2 1/2 yrs. Other than that, as good as the other two Hyundai's I have purchased who's cruise control worked properly.

This car shimmies when stopped in traffic or starting back up from a stopped position and other times I can't think of right now. We've asked about it when we've taken it for service and they tell us it's normal.

Nice Car

Nice car But the engine have lack of power. Nice size for small a family and great factory warranty, they have fun colors. The new models are very good looking and I guess great technology. I hope I can change my car soon for a new model•

Not as expected over time

First year was great. Issues with electrical and transmission after that. Transmission issue which dealer could not find at time it was brought in. Have to bring back to dealer to check out again. Vehicle only has 12,500 miles. Sharp SUV but frustrated with some issues

Don’t ever buy dual clutch Tuscon

Hoping the class action law suit will pan out so I can either get my money back or receive a fair buyout or exchange for different vehicle. It truly is a safety issue when you go to accelerate and your car chugs and spits - like going right in red! Dealer says ‘this is normal’ and I say ‘no it is not!’

2016 Tuscon is good but can be great.

The car is stylish from the inside and out. Gas consumption is adequate. I have had a transmission problem with my vehicle and notice that there's an issue with the transmission for this model. Acceleration not the best. Warranty is one of the best and they back it up.

Disappointed

Clutch and transmission are the worst. It has no power to quickly get into traffic and will stall at times. Engine is now burning 2qts. between chg. with 65000 miles. Poor radio reception and no CD.

Tucson

Nice style. Not that great quality. Very comfortable. I do not think I would recommend the brand because of the quality. I had this car three years and a half. Sometimes when I push on the gas pedal the car dose not go fast. Concern due to safety.

Nice car with horrible dual clutch

Nice car with horrible and I mean horrible transmission. Stay away from that dual clutch until they improve it or issue a recall. It is very dangerous. Apart from that, a log of features and decent quality for what it is.

Quite a few repairs in a short time

Check engine light within 14 days of purchase, I have had tire rod, wheel barrings (after 3 visits for same issue) and now the vehicle got towed there today for an oil issue. This go round has not been a great experience.

Okay vehicle

It's ok for a small compact SUV. Not much leg room in back. Good gas mileage. Doesn't ride/drive smooth like I like. I do like the exterior look. Wish I had chosen a different car but I only drove this one kinda felt rushed.

Great drive but can be unsafe with the doors

This car has had to have all the door latches fixed. There are times then the door won’t open at all no matter what we try. One door would be annoying but all the doors have had the issue at different times. In fact one of them has had to be done twice.

Five Year review.

Like the vehicle but the maintenance issues have been a pain, from transmission issues, blind spot detection issues, ABS issues, both front window motor failures, both rear window motor failures. Vehicle set in shop for six weeks when it only had a little over 20000 miles on it.

2016 Hyundai Tucson

I initially liked my vehicle. I love the color and the sporty look to it but it isn't as rugged as my previous Chevy Equinox. It does not sit as high or have as large of a cargo area in back. It is very stylish, however. I've had to get the doors and window repaired. I've only had the car 10 months. The front passenger door was sticking, the back passenger door stopped opening completely, and the front passenger window stopped working altogether. Got all that repaired and now the back passenger window stopped working too! And it's even worse than before because this time the window comes down as I'm driving! I'm still waiting to hear if the repair will be covered. If it's not, I'll probably get rid of the car altogether. And the car has no get up at all. It's definitely my least favorite vehicle to date.

Since purchase in 2016, these problems started 4 or 5 months thereafter: 1) Every window motor needed to be changed as the motor stopped working -(window will not go up or down). 2) The electric lock to each door had to be changed - not able to open the door from within or on the outside. 3) Cruise control stopped working - needed to be repaired.
