Tucson Review

Not only does it feel right driving but so far I haven't had any trouble that needed servicing. The gas mileage never ceases to amaze me, I actually got over 40 mpg on the highway and over 30 mpg in city driving but not all the time.

Good car, but some hiccups

The car looks good and is economical. The fact that the windows constantly malfunction (it's only 3 years old, and we've had to repair 3 of the windows) is a problem. Overall, it's a great car under warranty, but beware if it's out of warranty.

2016 Tuscon

I have enjoyed the Tuscon from the beginning. It is good on gas and rides well. I also like the space in the cabin as a driver. Good visibility for the driver. Drives well in snow and in wet conditions.

2016 Tuscon; a lease turn in at 36K miles

I purchased this 2106 Tucson several months ago right after it was turned in from a 3 yr lease. It's my first Hundai, and the Tuscon is the perfect size "cross over SUV" for me. The vehicle is fully loaded, and has the 1.6 liter turbo engine which is peppy and economical with fuel - low to mid 20's mpg in mixed city and freeway driving and 31 - 32 mpg on the one 100+ mile round trip I have taken.

Tuscon

The interior is nice, the car easy to drive. The instrument cluster is a bit busy but not bad. The engine on the 4 turbo is pleanty strong but I'm disappointed on the transmission on the car. It shifts pretty rough. The car is also a bit noisy

My Tucson

Very good vehicle, very little problems. Have a small problem when cold throttle responde when cold, maybe is because mine is a turbo and my Suv is a rocket at high speeds and it wants to fly. Overall it is a great machine.

Good little SUV

I have a 2016 Tucson. I upgraded from a 4-door Elantra. I needed more cargo space as I am a teacher and have to haul half my classroom around each year. I love my Tucson! My only complaint is that it is so low to the ground- more like driving a sedan. This can be a problem for my husband- the first time he got in it he gave himself a concussion (yes, really) when he hit his head on the door trying to get into it! For my next buy I am considering whether to continue with a Hyundai product or go looking for something higher up off the ground.

Tucson turbo 2016

I absoutly love my car in every way except the clutch, my car is a perfect size for us it has all the bells and whistles I need. I feel proud when driving it, It looks good, love the trunk opening and closing it self.

Transmission Issues

Overall I am very satisfied with this vehicle. It is quiet and has a smooth ride. When the turbo kicks in it has great acceleration. The infotainment system is very intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is that sometimes in hot weather the transmission fails to fully engage when starting from a stop. This has left me dangerously stranded mid intersection with the engine revving but the vehicle barely moving. Mechanics can never duplicate problem so it has never been fixed.

Phenomenal value for your money

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the design and performance of my Tucson. Coming into the Tucson from a luxury suv, I don’t feel I’m missing all that much for comparatively far less money. The Limited trim can stand head to head with many high end models offered by other brands.

a good value

I bought my Tucson new in 2016. It’s been trouble free. My only issue is a bit more wind noise on the highway than I would like. My last vehicle was a Hyundai Veloster and I loved that car too. I would most certainly buy another Hyundai product when it’s time for a new vehicle.

Like the ride

Just a few issues... First time I have a garage and I bought a new car....a crossover. The lift is so high I can't open it when the car is in the garage. It hits the door if it's open and not enough room to get behind it. Rides smoother in the normal driving mode than the Eco mode. Great had mileage. Comfortable interior.

Great Value

Great vehicle. We don't put a lot of miles on our cars and this was comfortable for longer trips and great in and out of parking spaces and traffic. Visibility is good. Love the rearview camera. Can load it up with gear for picnics and weekend getaways.

I love driving this Tucson

I never thought I would own an SUV, but I really like it. It handles real well and I love the ride, but sometimes it is sluggish in responding when first taking off from a stopped position, like at a stoplight. It doesn't do that every time so I need to ask what causes that. I love the color and the style of this Tucson.

Good Car but...

I like my car, the Hyundai Tucson, but there has always been a rattle in the steering column. I took the vehicle to my old dealership, before we moved, and they didn't find anything. It really sounds like something is wrong within the steering column. Other people that own the same vehicle have said the same thing about the rattle. This really should have been a recall item. The radio also has a constant updating/preparing of the Sirius/XM side of the radio. I've looked this up online and it says the problem is in the radio, not the program itself, and that it should be replaced. I will not replace my radio just for this. Don't like that I have to pay to get my GPS updated either.

The width of the front seats could be improved. When I use the middle cup holder hitting my driver's arm I wish the back seats were heated like the front. I would like center arm rests in the back too.

2016 Hyundai Tucson Sport 1.6T

I think it's a really nice car with all the features I wanted. The ride could be better though, it's a bit rough. I would get another one though as my next vehicle because it has great gas mileage and it's fun to drive. I'll probably get a 2018 and I've test drove one of those prior to buying my 2016 and it drove really nice.

Good transportation

Had the car for almost two years and so far so good. Plenty of power with the turbo 1.6 and good on gas. Room to haul cargo is fair considering the size of the car. Ride is a tad rough with the sport suspension but she handles like a sports car.

A few quirks but overall fantastic

There are a couple things I wish I had found out about the Tucson during the test drive. Overall I LOVE my car. But I have never had windshield wipers that have been free of streaks. Brand new, expensive wipers, streaks in the rain, right in the drivers line of sight. As a driver, the blindspots to the right are really significant. From day one, when pressing the accelerator from a dead stop, there is a hesitation before the car will actually move. It's a bit scary if you are pulling into fast traffic, you feel like the car won't go and you're gonna get rammed. When the car does go, it's with the turbo kicked in. 4 cylinder with a turbo may not have been the best model for me. But I didn't know it when I bought it.
