A Diamond - but not a diamond in the rough

Hyundai - who would have thought that this Tuscan SUV would be the sexiest, pretties, smoothest, cleanest, vehicle on the market. My husband bought me this car fully loaded and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. The SUV rides so smoothly that I cannot hear the engine running. When parked sometimes I accidentally turn the car back on thinking it was still on when I had already turned it off. The leather seats are great, the heated seats are a plus in the winter months and it is just a dream to drive. And to be honest I'm a BMW gal - I have loved those vehicles all my life but I feel like I have my own BMW it's just called a Tuscan. Yes, that is right my Tuscan is comparable to the BMW and I'm a very happy customer. Oh and the color of my car is called Mohave Sand there are only a few around I've counted maybe 2 in my area and I get complements on the color everywhere I go. Thank you Hyundai!

Love My Tucson

I love my Tucson! It's not only sporty but comfortable too. I purchased the turbo, but seldom have to use it as it accelerates fast enough without the turbo. This baby will move when you need it to. This is my first SUV & it is a perfect vehicle for me.

Not perfect but close

No vehicle is perfect but this Tucson got close, could use some improvements but reliability, price, gas mileage, performance, looks, user friendly, whole package was good enough for me to lease, not sure if will purchase or lease new vehicle yet. For the buck was good decision.

2016 Tucsan

My car has seem to have parts repair more than I expected. As I have mentioned before I wish there was a place to put your purse when you have passengers with you. I love the safety features and that the trunk door opens when you stand behind it with your hands full.

A great round the town car....

I love my Hyundai Tuscon..It is a very comfortable car, easy to handle, great on gas, long trips or around town. The back is even bigger/wider than our GMC. We can put both battery powered wheel chairs in the back of the Hyundai very easily. We've always had Hyundai's. Mechanically they are very sound and just a great car to own.

Don’t like Dct system. Unless I’m in Sport it tends to hesitate!!

DCT system sucks. Only in Sport do I feel comfortable. Otherwise it tends to hesitate . Love rest of truck , but this is a big thing. I bought it first year they used DCT. I shudder know better.wouldnt buy another with that dual clutch or double clutch system just to save some gas? No way!

Bad design

This car has a double clutch which is a major design flaw. When I first encountered the problem of trying to accelerate and the car not moving because it didn't do it when assessed by the service dept. it was not considered a problem. I complained again. Nothing. Time went by and I moved to another city. They knew exactly what the problem was and said it was only with the Tucson. They fixed it, then the company called noting that I had complained several times. They officially had the fix for it, which had already been done. It is not life threatening any more, but still a problem. Technology is far behind autos much older. I would definitely not have another.

Great vehicle

I love my Tucson. This is the second one I have owned. I am an older person, so getting in and out of the car is important to me. I find it very easy to get in and out of my Tucson. It has plenty of room for transporting large objects and people. I don't like to rely on someone else to bring a large item home. The key less entry is great. I don't have to get keys out to open my doors. The hatch opens automatically just standing in front of it--hands free!! The back-up camera is a great help when parking and getting out of a spot.

Hasteing on a take off or on a turn.

I have taken my car to the dealer ship with this problem several times. They say there is nothing they can do. I have almost been in an accident a few times. I have talk to several other persons that have a Tucson, some have the same problem.

great little car on handling and good gas mileage

This vehicle has good styling and very easy to drive with great pickup for a small 4 cylinder engine. Very good rear camera for both daytime and night usage. Gas mileage for mixed use (mostly town driving) gets slightly below 30 MPG.

This is my second Hyundai Tucson

I love my Tucson. It's a workhorse. I drive the Schuylkill Expressway twice a day and it handles Philly's awful roads like a champ. And it doesn't throw me around the cabin either! Smooth ride, good gas mileage, great shocks and great pricing.

Meets my needs

When it was time to replace my 11 year old Tucson, I chose this ECO model. I love the way it handles, the seating position fits me well (I don't like having to get DOWN into a car). The mpg is fabulous! Most of the time I get 28 mpg/city and 30+/hwy Even though this is a 4 cylinder, it has plenty of pickup and go when I need it.

Not good in snow

Sadly I bought a FWD, and in the snow with the dual clutch, it's pretty rough in the snow, (my fault, should NOT have let the salesman talk me into it, BUT, other than that I LUV THE VEHICLE !!!!!!!!!!

Excellent SUV/crossover. Quality of the Tucson is outstanding and it rides well. I have had three Hyundai vehicles and only one maintenance issue. I will continue to buy Hyundai's as I trust the company to continue producing excellent products.

Lemon vehicle

I have been in the dealer service department monthly since i bought this car,the transmission jumps and no fixed at all,the dealer say it is a factory problem and they can not do anything,the 4 windows broken, the latches broken ,the roof paint fading,oil pump and brakes pump recalled,software recalled twice,etc,etc,etc.Bad product.

Turbo engine fails to meet basic expectations.

I purchased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson with a turbo engine. The basic features of the car are fine, however the turbo engine stalls and hesitates and is a challenge to drive safely. When accelerating, either from a dead stop or moving along the road, acceleration is very unpredictable - hesitating and lurching forward at will. Hyundai has no intent to recall, so I'm stuck with the car until i can afford a new vehicle. I used to own a Hyundai Elantra (2011) and liked the hands free phone features much better than the 2016 Tucson. I find it difficult to locate numbers in the Tucson phone book and often end up dialing the numbers from scratch. Also, the map routes are awkward to use - more so than in the 2011 Elantra. When I punch in an address it often comes up as not found, when the last time I used it I found it just fine. I like the drive of the car and the way it handles.

the mileage I am getting on it

I have 10645 miles with the same tires the car came with great mileage, of course, I rotate them every 3ooo miles and change my oil every 3000 my car will less more then factory say so because I like to take care of my car, I have a Kia 2006 that has 45857 miles and still with the same motors and transmission so I know my Hyundai will last me for a long time Its all in how well you take care of your car the inside as well as the outside
