Vehicle sucks

I purchased thus vehicle and not long into the new vehicle I began to experience a shuddering/vibration when the vehicle is idle. When I start the vehicle, I have no control on the volume or anything on the dash. Something the light would go out when driving. I was told it was probably the battery. This is fix recently after numerous complains. What I don't get he the vibrations/shuddering when the vehicle is idle. Again I get numerous explanations but I am stuck with the vehicle. Can wait for the lease to end

Dual clutch system is the worst!!!!!

Let’s just say when I’m stuck in traffic, which is an every day thing for me, this vehicle jumps like it’s stalling out, I’ve taken it to two different dealers and they tell me it’s the dual clutch system in the transmission. Make a long story short I can’t wait till my lease is up !!!!!!

Great looking car performance sucks

I really like the look but the performance was terrible. Caused alot of issues for us. We hated to see it go but it hurt us to keep it. Unfortunately my brand new Iron man Kona is experiencing the same issue. I already needed a jump. Why should my battery already have issues? Why does my car shake when at a stop light? Why when I press gas the car doesn't go? It sucks to have a nice car and have to pretend that it's as good as it looks.

Dangerous performance issues

I feel like I got a lot of bells and whistles with this vehicle it is a beautiful car and I am proud to drive it however I'm sorry I bought it because it is dangerous to drive due to the hesitation between when you push the gas and when the car actually starts to move. The engine whines up but the car does not move and when first gear engages it is very rough. Also when you are sitting in traffic going from stop to go stop to go the whole car shakes and pulsates

Totally underpowered

While my 2017 Tucson has some commendable qualities (crash test safety rating, ease of parking), the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine is woefully underpowered, and it is mismatched with the 6 speed automatic transmission. There are times when you need to hit the acceleration to move out of an unsafe situation, and this Tucson will not deliver. Very disappointed. When I addressed this issue with Hyundai corporate, they were very unhelpful and essentially said,”You’re stuck with it.” Not when my lease is up.

I hate this car

The turbo engine and transmission have major issues. I hate this car. It is dangerous and I can't wait to get rid of it. Sometimes you hit the gas and the car doesn't respond, the transmission just freezes. This car should have been recalled

A TICKING TIME BOMB

If you haven't heard yet, let me tell you right up front, the Transmissions are terrible. They nearly stall and have awful hesitation problems. To the point you think if you pull out of your driveway, parking lot or a side street you're going die if someone is coming. The car either nearly stalls or it hesitates so badly you'll see your life pass before your eyes.. My Tucson has been in the dealership several times since I bought it. I've been told "the issue is due to the new 'dual clutch' setup and they you need to relearn how to drive it and it's normal for it to have a 5-10 hesitation while it finds the right gear, you just need to give it more gas to 'wake it up'"... Now lets get into the engine... Tucson's are suffering engine failures due to a manufacturing issue. I'm not sure exactly what the is because Hyundai is keeping a very tight lid on it but if you google it you will find webpage after webpage talking about the transmission and engine problems. After having mine in for service several times and being told they can not replicate the issue my engine finally BLEW.. That right, it died... I heard some weird 'pinging', they smelt something burning, the dash lights all came on and they the car shut off leaving me stranded in the middle of the highway... Great car huh? Real safe..? Wouldn't you like this for your wife or daughter? This car is not reliable or safe! To top it off, Hyundai corporate was looking for any excuse not to fix it.. They had the dealership pull the oil pan and take pictures.. When that wasn't a problem, a week later, they had the dealership pull the valve covers and take more pictures. Again not a problem that they could blame me for.. So another week later they decided they would replace the motor.. It's now been 7 weeks and they've made zero progress in fixing my car.. Outstanding Customer service huh?

Tucson 2017

I’ve been complaining about this car since I got it and nobody doing anything to help, I will never buy from Hyundai EVER AGAIN. I feel cheated with this car and everybody saying the same thing, it should be recalled!!!!! Y’all are risking our lives with these car. Very sad Can anything be done like getting a lawyer? Any suggestions appreciated.

Dangerous

I would not recommend Hyundai to anyone. I bought a 2017 Tucson and it has a hesitation in acceleration at very dangerous times. It comes and goes, nothing consistent. I have taken it into the dealers several times and they can not find the reason for the problem. This vehicle is dangerous and I would say steer clear of it. If anybody has found a fix please let me know, the dealership I bought it at is at a complete loss for why it has this issue. But I have read reviews where many people have the same problem. Needs to be fixed ASAP before somebody gets killed.

Don’t do it

Transmission is messed up and unless I have a “paper trail” and constantly harass the dealership, nothing will be done. This is what I was actually told. I will now be wasting my time over and over. In addition; the car is not a smooth drive. I have brand new tires and every bump in the road in felt.

Transmission Issues, don't get

I am so disappointed in my 2017 Tucson. I am unable to get the transmission fixed well enough to not stutter. It is so discouraging. I would gladly get a Kona instead since I have heard this issue is specific to this car.

Very unhappy customer

Bought my 1st & last Hyundai. I would never recommend anybody to buy a Hyundai. I bought a 2017 Tucson brand new. Before the one year anniversary the transmission had to be replaced the car has never been the same & there is nothing Hyundai can do. In the mean time I’m stuck with the car. If I would have known beforehand the issue with this car I would have never bought this car.

Very dissatsfied with my Tucson

I was never told when purchsasing my vechicle that it has a dual transmission. It is actually dangerous to drive. It stalls in the middle of intersections & when you pull out into traffic. It is not a smooth drive at all! All Ive been told is that theres nothing they can do, they described it as the "nature" of the beast! The beast that I payed alot of money for. Regret this purchase!

Car shutters and shakes

I bought my Hyundai Tucson brand new first new car in 18 years! I am scared to pull into traffic you never know when the vehicle may decide not to go. Then when sitting still and idling it shakes. My dream car had become me being afraid and very disappointed. I too have been told to floor it and drive aggressively by Hyundai tech. Really hoped to have this car along time as we have had 5 different used Hyundai’s over the years and never had an issue. Very disappointed with the 17.

2017 Tucson is the WORST! STAY AWAY!

Purchased this car new for our daughter as a new driver. We wanted something substantial, safe, but also something she could handle driving. This car has been a lemon since day one. We have absolute regret and will never purchase another Hyundai again. As others have mentioned the pickup on this vehicle is non existent. Due to this the car is in fact dangerous. You can depress the gas pedal almost to the floor and the car takes forever to move. Forget trying to pass anyone on the highway either, not enough engine power or pickup. We have had it in and out of the dealership more times than we can count and dealing with two different dealerships in two different states...they both are HORRIBLE. Our daughter took her car to college and we have no faith that the car is reliable. After the car turned three years old it kept refusing to start 50% of the time. She was stranded several times doing errands tanks to this unreliable heap of trash. After a week of dealing with this she took a day away from classes to sit at the dealership and was told that she needed a new battery to the tune of $300! Most recently the oil light went on. She had an oil change on April 21, 2021 and it is now June 7, 2021. Not even two months and only 2000 miles and her car was out of oil!!!??? How does this happen? Either the engine is burning through oil for some unknown reason or the dealership didn't actually do the oil change! There is no visible leak so clearly there is some other issue. This car is the worst, I regret wasting the money on it, cannot wait to trade it in and get a Honda in its place. We never should've gotten anything other than a Honda to begin with...lesson learned.

Disappointed with my first Hyundai

I bought this Tuscan, my first Hyundai and I am really disappointed. I just bought it in Feb 2021, and it started to shudder within the first few weeks. After all the money I spent, really felt that I got a Lemon. Spoke to the rep on my first maintenance and he told me the Tuscan shudders and it will get worse. Not what I wanted to hear, that’s why I am disappointed. I will be paying off this car by next summer and can’t wait to get rid of it before the shuddering gets worse. My first and last Hyundai.

Engine consumption issie

Will not buy this Model again (Tucson) or any other Hyundai cars. The car has an engine conpsumption issue Hyundai knows there's a problem yet they keep procrastinating the issue also believe that I may be driving an unsafe due to the engine issue may cause the car to stall or engine catch fire.

Had my Tucson for a year and 4 months and I traded it in for another brand. Vehicle had 68000 on it and was blowing through a quart of oil every 1000 miles which the dealer told me was expected. First time Hyundai owner and it will be the last
