Looks Great, would give it 5 stars but.....

I did a lot of homework, before I bought my new Tucson. Test drove several brands. Checked online for reviews and details. Wanted a small SUV. I'm not all that young, as measured by years, but wanted something that looked hip and could haul something bigger than a small box. My father in law was a real car guy, he owned and loved multiple types of Hyundai vehicles. My father retired from Ford. Drove the Hyundai last. Loved it! Checked off all my boxes. Mine is a AWD. Love walking out and getting into it. Not a high mileage guy. August 2020 and I only have 14,800 miles on it. Here's where I've come to question the quality of some basic items. The door seal, on driver's side, is starting to wear out, at bottom of door. Showing a small hole in it. The side of the cloth, on the driver's side seat, is showing wear. These are real areas of concern, for me, to show wear so soon. Car runs great. love style, room and feeling driving it. Just seeing these problems, every time I get in, just frustrates me. No review can show how high the quality of materials used, will hold up over time

We are very pleased with the Tucson , plan on driving it for a long time, the service department is always great very professional and the car is always finished as promised. The Santa Fe dealership service department is pleasure to do business with.

Great car but you get some road sound when driving. The accereration is not responsive all the time either when driving normally up slants not hills.but for highway entrances and beware of the dealerships the will rob you

Hyundai Tuscon sport

Must have Turbo, supper fast, larger than it seems. I bought the car for my Mastiff (bourboel). Buddy weighs 160, I had a Benz but Buddy had a hard time fitting. I went to Hyundai to look at a used BMW, but he couldn’t fit, so I started looking at a Sante Fe, but I didnt like some of the features. The Tuscon is the best bet.

Overall a great vehicle.

The vehicle is quiet, rides smooth, and can handle any porthole or dirt road you would generally travel on every day. The only issue is the small engine which is sluggish when you need to get up and go. Overall for me, that is not a deal breaker. For more room and a bigger engine. Get the Santa Fe. We have a 2011 with over 150k on it and you wouldn’t be able to tell.

Good all-around small SUV.

Have had the car for over 3 years. I use it most for local driving and it is excellent at that. Gets outstanding mpg and performance, for this type of vehicle. The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars is due to the highway noise is greater than I like and at 70 mph it requires frequent steering input. Seating is not good for trips of over 1 or 2 hours.

Haven't bought a car in almost 17 years; couldn't be happier with this vehicle. Kids are happier that theres a reliable car with a AUX cable to listen to their music. I've got piece of mind that I can walk out to the driveway get in the car and go where we need to go without issues.

Great vehicle

This is my third Hyundai, two Sonata and my now Tucson. I love everything about this SUV except the two items (cons) below. If it wasn’t for these two annoying features, I would surely give this vehicle a 10 rating across the board.

Three Years and not one problem !

Haven't had one mechanical problem with this car in the three years that I have had it. The interior is nicely designed and comfortable on a long trip.The exterior is quite aerodynamic and stylish ,the color is a burnt orange and while a lot of other car makers have that color it looks good on this car!

Tucson

We like the Hyundai brand and got the Tucson for the gas mileage. Prior Hyundai owned was a Santa Fe. Miss the power and space but Tucson good solid vehicle. Wished we had gotten the turbo model with no hand hatch. I’m not tall so closing hatch is a reach.

I love my Hyundai . Will more than likely purchase another one when I need to. I understand the need for these surveys to a degree but I find them to be tedious and time consuming. I suppose if I hated the vehicle you would need to know but I love it.

Confused transmission.

Poor traction in snow. Transmission hesitates. I do like the power and gets good mileage. Very comfortable car. The Interior is well thought out. Good quality. Adequate room both front and rear. I will buy another and hope the transmission problems are sorted out

Overall the vehicle has bee very reliable and stable. The only three areas of concern have been both front seatbelt tensioners. And the XM portion of the radio (signal not reliable, especially in open clear areas). The tires that came with the vehicle played out within 30K miles after delivery and had to be replaced.

I really wasn't sure of this vehicle at first, had never owned this type of vehicle before...

When I went from my Sonata to this Tuscon, I had to give up a few things (like NAV), but the ride is great! I also picked up some features that I didn't know how much I'd like (seat warmers, Sirius XM, and a 7-speed transmission to name a few).

See rating below. Have some issues as noted below. Also, there are times the car hesitates after stopping, for example at a stop sign. Heater is terrible, taking as much as 20 minutes to finally produce heat.

Reliable car, average features

The Tucson is a very reliable car for the price and drives very well. It has a few different drive modes - the sport mode being my favorite as it makes the ride SO much smoother. good trunk and backseat space, has six side windows, and the two-toned interior elevates the look. I enjoy the tire pressure feature where it shows you what each one is at so you don't have to play the guessing game. if you don't care much about having special features such as heated seats, apple carplay, and lane change assist - this car would be a good match. One major downside i've experienced with this car is how slow it takes to warm up. takes about twenty minutes for it to get warm (not even hot) - my old 09' car heated up in 7 minutes. wish i knew this before purchasing as i live in a cold state. besides that and the lack of features, this car is a good contender and i'm happy with it.

Really enjoy my Tucson. I love the split screen with the navigation on one side and the music on the other side or full screen if I want it. The SUV rides good. Wish I had not gotten the sunroof put in after buying the car. It is a small SUV but just right for me.

Love the Tucson.....but

I love my Tucson....everything but the stalling effect when one first starts driving. I understand that it's because of the dual clutch (or something like that), but it makes me nervous every time I have to pull into traffic. Also, there is only one USB port.

Love my Tucson

I have been enjoying my used 2017 Tucson for about 1-1/2 years. The AWD is great in the snow, especially since I can shift it into lower gears. This was especially helpful when we got about 2-1/2 feet of snow this past winter. The only reason I didn't give the car 5 stars is because it sometimes seems to hesitate just a little bit when I am getting onto the highway. I enjoy the bells & whistles (bluetooth, etc.) which I didn't have in my previous 2005 Subaru, since it was so old. Even my 36 year old son enjoys driving my car & he's a tough critic. I only wish it happened to have a navigation system.
