Horrible Transmission

The transmission being utilized in the Tucson is an engineering disaster. Once the weather turns warmer the transmission has a massive lag in low gear response time. No explanation as to why the sensors don't function properly in the heat but conduct a simple search on the Tucson transmission before you purchase.

The vechile is so so would never buy again

The trunk is very difficult to open and close have had trouble with rear tail light wiring since the day bought brand new gas mileage bout even close to what I was told. Drivers seat not comforter or very adjustable very hard to see over front of vechilev

Do not like the vehicle

The vehicle rides rough and it takes over a half an hour to warm up on a day that's above freezing. On days it's below freezing it never really warms up to a comfortable temperature. I don't like the over design of the console.

Do Not recommend

Acceleration issue that could never be resolved. Brought back to dealership, they never found problem. Screw came out from my hatch, rattled around for months until I got a magnet to retrieve it, have no idea where or what it came off of. Overall frustrated with vehicle.

Disappointed

I did a great deal of research when selecting this vehicle. I had a Tiberon and Sonata previously, which I really liked. Unfortunately, this Tuscon was far below in functionality. The engine is bogged down, stutters, and acts like it is on its last leg. The interior is nice, but the built in cup holders are awkward to use. The interior is incredibly noisy! I am really disappointed with the purchase.

Not good car

This car is not good. I drove 60000 then put new transmission. It’s engine rpm air flow always high even technicians are not can fix. My four friend have same car and same problem . Not can drive this car more then 2 hours

Low milage

Very low milage car per gallon. Interior exterior are ok. Accelerator function is not satisfying. Gas consumption is so high. Better to have good leather seats quality. Overall car is worth it for price

Never again will I purchase Hyundai

My car runs like it is an old car. The motor runs well however my car vibrates and shakes it is not what I expected in regards to performance. I love the style I love my mini tease but I don’t like how my car runs. This is my latest turn on by a Hyundai I’ve had one for 15 years plus but this is my last one. I reported the information to my sales person they said that’s the way how the car is supposed to run if it runs the way how it does with the vibrating and shaking and not always popping into the shifting into the right gear I wouldn’t recommend a Hyundai Tuxon to anybody

Nice Looking But......

My 2017 Tucson is a very nice looking vehicle, however in terms of performance it’s truly horrible. The dual clutch transmission jerks and sometimes there is power when accelerating and sometimes there isn’t. Hyundai made a huge mistake by omitting a torque converter. Even with a turbo engine there isn’t enough power for the car to get out of its own way.

Hesitation when accelerating

From day one with this vehicle brand new it hesitates when accelerating. Not a good feeling when making turns with oncoming traffic. When you push on the gas it should go. Too many issues with transmission.

Transmission

The 2017 model of Tucson was designed with a transmission that under performs in low gears. This is an issue that the company became aware of quickly but there has been no option provided customers who purchased the Tucson expecting the same level of performance as other models. I made the mistake of trading my Santa Fe and leasing a 2017 Tucson. The lack of response to consumer concerns regarding the transmission in the 2017 model will lead me to look at other companies at the conclusion of my lease.

Warm?

Heater takes way too long to warm up! Service answers: heater meets factory standards, it’s because of the extreme cold temperatures. My response: I get it but the other brands I have driven warm up much faster.

Overall disappointed with quality of electronics and interior.

Poor blue tooth and radio reception is lousy. Floor mats are cheap and quickly came apart with normal wear. Center panel is to far to rear to comfortably reach. Rear camera is poor quality and fuzzy.

Nice looking and quick, but loud and cheap

If you are used to cheap vehicles this one wll do. This vehicle is nice looking and was reliable. It drove us crazy due to the wind noise and lack of insulation in the cab. It is very cheap inside and was hard to hold a conversation in due to the lack of sound insulationi. I also must comment on fuel economy. Whatever it is rated at, is not true. Best we got on mostly highway use was 25mpg. We were expecting more like 28 to 30mpg. That never happened. Headlights are terribly dim and even the fog lights didn't help much. There are better options out there for similar money. The only good part about it was the engine and transmission which was powerful enough and quick shifting. Then a year later they took both those away and replaced with a non turbo and a regular automatic. Just lost a customer for life.

Stay Away

I have owned several Hyundais over the years. This is the first one that I cannot recommend. It looks great and is comfortable but the dual clutch transmission is awful not to mention dangerous. This SUV stalls when accelerating in stop and go traffic or from starting up at a green light. I know the 2016 had this issue as well but Hyundai wrote a software update some time ago. No such fix has come along for the 2017. I only this review keeps at least one person from making the same mistake that I did by buying this SUV. I am not a negative person and NEVER write bad reviews but this SUV truly merits it.

Double clutch sucks

My vehicle had transmission issues from the start techs at a different location would tell me it's normal it's winter gas we will reset the driving mode cone to find out it was the transmission all along.... Welp after 1 new transmission and 1 AC pump after 2 1/2 years if owning the BRAND NEW VEHICLE I regret it being very FIRST NEW NEW CAR...

Disappointed

I bought the newer Tuscon after having a 2005 for 12 years. Loved the 2005 and had high hopes for the attractive, updated 2017. If it weren't for the engine stalling problems, I'd give it 4 stars but when you hit the gas, you expect the car to accelerate and when it doesn't it's dangerous. For that reason I can't recommend this car.

Please Issue a Recall

I purchased the 2017 Tucson. I love the way the car drove in the beginning. Now my car jerks and hesitates. I am so nervous to drive it. I commute more that 30 miles a day for work. Pleas issue recall.

Don’t buy if your cold

Heater is not efficient, it takes too long to warm. Service said that “it meets factory standards” but all other vehicle I have owned or currently own provide heat significantly faster than this Hyundai.
