Fantastic vehicle. Transmission takes some getting used to.

I love this vehicle. Quietest interior in it's class. Excellent AWD performance. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay work flawlessly. Awesome entry level media system. Excellent standard features like Blind-Spot, Bluetooth, Rear Camera etc. The only problem I have is with the transmission; it does not engage reverse right away, so makes backing into my tight parking spot very tricky. I'm gonna knock on wood quick, but I feel like if I let my fiancée park it, she'd hit the building because of drifting during the delay. No other complaints. Just beware, the transmission will take some getting used to. I DO like it's normal driving shifting & performance, though.

It seems the auto manufacturer cut corners

It seems the auto manufacturer cut corners to save the company some money. Perhaps at the risk of some clients not buying the Hyundai Brand twice. Heated seats are nice....Steering wheel....cold as ice. The back door...must be opened manually from outside the vehicle. Not a good selling point. I missed that one. It handles ok. Gas mileage is NOT GOOD....I am filling up the gas tank every time I am out and about. I am not unhappy but the question is ….Will I buy Hyundai again? Perhaps if the manufacturer does some changes...….we will see. L Carlson

Upgrade from Honda

I bought this vehicle as an upgrade from a Honda Fit with reliability and high J.D. Power ratings and the Hyundai Tucson rated rate for a smaller SUV. The only thing that concerned me at the time of purchase was the potential gas mileage of the vehicle. As it turns out, I had a right to be concerned. Although I love the way the Tucson handles and the design, etc., I am very dismayed at the gas mileage I am getting, 23 mpg tops. I drive a lot so this really takes a bite out of the wallet. Other features which are problematic are some glitchy things with the tech features. For instance, if you run the GPS you cannot have music playing at the same time. The minute you access any of your apps, the music ends. This makes for a very long boring drive. I did find a way around it which is extremely irritating, but doable. One other thing people who ride in my car have mentioned is that it is difficult to get into and out of the car, especially if you are tall. You have to push the front seat all the way back, tilt the seat back and bend your head down so you don't knock yourself out getting in. The designers obviously were not thinking of the average height of Americans when they designed this vehicle. Some features I do like are the great cargo net that comes standard with the vehicle and the first-aid kit. These are nice perks. The technology is headed in the right direction but definitely needs to be improved and totally functional in all situations.

THIS IS MY SECOND HYUNDAI IN 4 YRS. I LOVE MY HEATED SEATS AND HEATED STEERING WHEEL. ALSO THE AUTO TRUNK OPEN AND CLOSE FEATURE. I DID NOT HAVE THESE ON MY 2016 ELANTRA. SITTING HIGHER IS GREAT TOO. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON WHY I BOUGHT A SUV. I'M GETTING SHORTER WITH AGE, SO THIS WAS THE PERFECT OPTION FOR ME.

This is the 5th Hyundai vehicle purchased in my immediate family over the past 8 years. Generally like the value, quality and performance of a Hyundai . The only problem I have with my 2018 Tucson is the wind/buffering noise from the right side passenger windows.

2018 Hyundai Tuscon SEL Plus FWD

Love this vehicle. Fun, easy to drive. Handles like a dream. I feel very safe behind the wheel. Especially love the interior which is not at all "stuffy" as some other vehicles in its class. Has a rich look and feel. The Blue Link feature is a godsend. I locked myself out of both the house & vehicle one day and was able to utilize the Blue Link app on my phone to unlock the vehicle, activate the garage door opener and gain access to my home. The reason for 4, not 5 stars is I have experienced the Navigation system falls short of being reliable therefore use my phone maps.

internal temp

Under cold conditions my Tucson doesn't put hot air into the cabin I took to service they checked & told me that was the way it was to be . The engine temp was only 170 degrees due to the electronic thermostat controlling temp. Was told past years had same problem & a recall came out changing engine temp to 195 degrees they need to do same with 2018 .

Great suv. Good performance. Backseat a little cramped for older people to get in and out.Good traction on snow. Alot of options and the way it handled on the road. Good gas mileage. Like the Eco built in.

Highway driving?

I have had the tuscan for a few months. After driving my daughter's new vechile, the situation of holding onto the wheel while driving is much harder on the tuscsn vs hers. Plus, the heater works, but the car stays cold, early in the morning or during night driving.

A great mid-size SUV

I am single and retired and traded in my 2009 Ford Escape for this 2018 Tucson. Hyundai has a very good reputation and the dealership, Ettleson Hyundai, created a positive atmosphere and a good fair deal. My salesman was great and made the experience nothing but positive. The Tucson is working well. It handles on the road like a larger vehicle, sufficient power and agility. The controls are well placed, the seats comfortable and the gas mileage is better than the Ford. Road noise feedback is louder than the Escape on the highway though not a deal breaker, but it does require increasing the volume a bit on the radio to overcome, Plenty of cargo room and it seats four adults without complaints. I'm enjoying the large screen back-up camera and heated cloth seats. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

So far, so good

Great overall vehicle. Ive had it for about 4 months so far and have already driven it in the snow. I highly recommend the all wheel drive. Dont let the salesmen talk you out of it. I will most likely buy another hyundai after I finish racking up the miles on this one.

The drivers seat is very comfortable but could use a few more settings, the back could use a tilt adjustment. Also, the garage door opener on the rear view mirror should be lighted, it's hard to find in the dark.

My only problem is the suspension. In going over rough roads one feels the ruphnes of every bump and hears all the noise it makes. a smoother and sturdier suspension would be an improvement. A more responsive acceleration and more powerful engine performance. Additional safety features, more well placed air bags and roll bar.

Overall I love the car. It his comfortable, stylish and fits my needs perfectly. It handles exceptionally well. It has its minor faults such as it is difficult to reach for the seatbelt on the drivers side. The gas mileage for trips in the 30 to 50 mile range is not what had hoped for and the AC/Heater tales too long to reach a comfortable temperature. These minor complaints will not keep me from buying another one.

I love my 2018 Tucson, it’s a fair priced reliable vehicle. The only I have is, there’s a passenger side air leak that doesn’t happen all the time. Elyria Hyundai service department tried to find the source of the leak but, wasn’t successful. They are calling in a specialist to try and find the leak and resolve the issue.

Just what I'd hoped for

As soon as I knew I'd be in the market for a new vehicle, I had my eye on the Tucson Sport. The body styling, lights and rims all drew me in, and no matter what other vehicles I looked at, I kept coming back to the Tucson, and ultimately, I purchased it. The cabin and the ride are comfortable, the technology is advanced, but not overwhelming, the gas mileage is excellent, and I love the look!! It's bigger than my typical vehicle, but I've adapted to the size and have no problem parking it or fitting into tighter spaces. I'm definitely glad I bought the Tucson!
