Great little SUV
We traded in a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, which we had bought new. We were, of course, very comfortable with that sized vehicle—after all those years and miles.
Thé 2018 Tucson took a little getting used to, because of the size differences—and all the new electronic gadgets on the Tucson that we didn’t have on the Dodge. But, now, after 3000 miles, I don’t know how we got along without all the warning devices. It is, actually, more comfortable on such a long trip than the Grand Caravan was when it was new. Plus, the Tucson handles beautifully—although it took a couple of weeks to get used to the sharper turning radius. The steering is tight and responds instantly.
Parking is a dream because of the backup camera with all the warning devices (pedestrians and vehicular have different beep cycles.) We live on a busy street, and sometimes, when backing out of our driveway, it sounds like a bell concert! It is, however, unquestionably safer than backing out without the warning bells. Now, we like the beeps. They mean we’re not going to back into anyone or thing.
It’s a great vehicle for my wife, and I, to do everything we need to do. Plus, it’s great on long trips.
I havn’t computed thé over the road gas mileage, yet. When I do, I’ll try to add it to this review.
By the way, nothing, on this earth, is perfect. So, I give the Tucson 9s a d not 10s for its characteristics, below.
