New 2023 Hyundai Tucson SE
I am extremely disappointed with my new 2023 Hyundai Tucson. I bought it somewhat impulsively because I needed to replace my previous car which was totaled in a car accident. I've only owned my Tucson for a little over 3 months now but I already regret buying it. I would not recommend this car to anyone. The controls are poorly designed, poorly marked, and unintuitive to use. It's distracting and unsafe to have to take your eyes off the road for long to figure out what controls you need to use. My Tucson was also delivered to me with some kind of adhesive on the steering wheel that I haven't been able to use. So every time I drive it I have to try to avoid touching the steering wheel in the places covered by the adhesive. Additionally, every time I drive the car and then turn off the engine, I smell antifreeze. I haven't been able to find a leak but the smell is persistent and pronounced. The engine is not very spritely - not much giddy up in it. It drags on acceleration. Lastly, if you have small children, you will find the seatbelts on the rear seats difficult to use. They don't latch easily at all. The inside of this vehicle feels like it's made of low quality materials. At a price of $30K, I am extremely disappointed with what I got for my money. I wish I would have kept shopping around.
