My bro-in-law, a Michigan auto industry guy, told me over the winter that Eye Site was the best for the money system, Audi, Mercedes compared. I shopped dealers in Maine. I had previous service experience with Patriot and was pleased with those outcomes. Tony, my original salesman contact at Patriot, was very helpful. He satisfied my requests. We agreed on a price and delivery date. Cass and Bob efficiently finalized the sale. It was a pleasant buying experience. Now after three days, this is a great upgrade after my old 2003 Outback. I did not know what i was missing!

Just Right

The 2015 Outback is roomy, quiet, and solidly built. It seems to get slightly better gas mileage than advertised. Very pleased after 1 year and 3 months of ownership.

Love the car, hate the company support.

For an inexpensive car I have always loved Subarus but we have been mistreated so badly on the "battery drain" issue that we will never buy another Subaru.

bah

1. Too much computer. 2. Too many switches-20 on steering wheel, 12 for the heater!. 3. Bridgestone Tires no good-1 blowout, 5 flats, 1 unrepairable, I had to buy a new set at 21K miles!! 4, Expensive synthetic oil. 5, Stupid options-no wheel spin? 6. Overcompiicated-set the clock, tune the radio?

2015 Subaru

This is my first Subaru and my last. Bought it brand new and it’s needed 3 batteries, a new transmission, a new catalytic converters, wheel bearings, headlights, brakes...all in the first 4 years of driving it. Toyota here I come.

Not as I expected

2015 Outback premium. Comfort level is good. 2.5 motor is underpowered for this car. Very noisy under acceleration. CVT problems that cause car to stall and shut down in traffic and at l speeds.

2015 Subaru Outback

I'm 6 years and 100,000 miles with my Outback. First, it has been a comfortable and safe car with low cost of ownership. I bought it new with the blind spot protection and leather seats, but no other safety options as Subaru was still figuring out the advanced electronics and the intuitive interface was frustrating to owners. I just drove a new 2021 Forester and very impressed with how smooth all the advanced features, like lane and traffic warning, 360 degree sensors and the iphone interface work. I'm considering trading in for a new one, it is that good.

2015 Subaru Outback Premium

This car is a lot of engineering for the money. Steering, braking, handling are all way better than I would expect for this type of car. The cabin is exceptionally roomy and comfortable and well suited for travel.. CVT tranny is exceptional and well matched to the engine. Power is adequate in town and I appreciate the fuel economy in both city and highway driving, but please....give me a turbo option!!

If not for that clacking under the hood...

I love the Outback, and if not for the distracting noise of the unconventional Boxer engine sitting under the hood, I believe I'd be pinching myself over the purchase. Simply put, the 2015 Outback is a great car. Not only is it versatile, and robust, it is also (dare I say) luxurious. The interior is refined and the ride is a complete surprise. If not for the fact that I am a mechanic with way too much understanding of the workings of internal combustion engines, my only complaint would be about the sluggish entertainment/navigation system. But there is that unsettling sound of the little diesel-like boxer engine. I am trained to seek out unusual sounds in an engine and this engine has some unusual noises, especially during the first morning warmup. You see, noise often translates to friction. Friction is wear, and wear is bad. Now, I've been told that the noises I'm hearing are normal, AND I have a lifetime powertrain warranty, so I'm willing to stay calm. But then, didn't my cousin just tell me his Outback's engine was replaced with under 100,000 miles? Hmmmm....

Service review

With the exception of the CVT this is a fine car. The safety items all work well, mileage is acceptable, very comfortable to drive, and the fit and finish are perfect.

2015 Subaru Outback Premium

I like the Outback for it's ease of driving, comfort and visibility. I'm just sorry that that the dealer didn't have one available with the optional safety equipment (auto braking and blind spot detection). These options should come standard in all cars.

Really the best vehicle we have ever owned

This is the safest, most comfortable vehicle we have ever owned. However, if we ever buy a new one I will demand better tires (the new tires that came with the care had to be replaced after 21,000 miles) and I would request a better battery (it was furnished with a 300 amp battery which is not going to cut the winter weather in the midwest).

I love my Outback; I like the mileage I get and the roominess; it handles very well. I feel I can trust the Subaru brand. I have had only 1 Subaru prior and I really liked it. However, I do miss the moonroof and the 6 CD player I had in my former Subaru (2006 Subaru turbo Forrester)

Great vehicle however came new with poor tires and only 350 amp battery.

We love the comfort and safety of our 2015 Subaru Outback, however we had to replace the original tires at 21,000 miles and after the battery failed in the winter after only 10 days of none use we noticed it was only a 350 amp battery which is not going to work on any vehicle in the Midwest. If we ever buy a new vehicle again will demand better original tires and battery'

I really like my Subaru 2015 outback

My Subaru is awesome on gas mileage and more spacious than my Forrester was. It handles ver nice. I love the heated seats and the hands free feature for making calls, listening to music. But I do miss the moonroof.

Performance not as expected

IT has no "get up and go" it is sluggish. When up and running it can feel "floating" As a senior whose last auto was a 2007, the dings and beeps drive me crazy. I also can't keep track of my keys. I use one pair. Since it "can access the key" I seem to forget where I put it last. I'd just as soon leave it in car all the time . . . not a good idea. I didn't need all the high tech stuff. Otherwise, I do like the car.

It is great. I love it. Only one flaw. The interior door panels are weak. My dog leaves his claw marks. This never happened with my other vehicles. Replaced them all and it happened again. Thanks
