I purchased my '04 because it is considered the 2nd best year for Pilots. I wanted a 3rd row. This cars 3rd row is pretty decent and isn't sitting on the back door. I love the safety rating, this is actually my 2nd '04 Pilot first one I owned I totalled with no scratches to me or my 3 little kids. Love my Pilot.

Perfect SUV
Our Honda Pilot is now 13 years old with nearly 188,000 miles on it and it still runs like a dream. Only issues is general wear but the mechanical component is solid. This car handles amazing in snow. It’s a great safe car for my college age son who commutes to college daily. We will drive this SUV until it dies.

Best Vehicle I have ever owned
I purchased my Pilot in 2003. 2004 model.
Great driving, generous cargo capacity, all the power I need for climbing hills in rough terrain (my driveway not easy). I will keep it maintained so I can have it as long as possible! Easy to maintain too!

GREAT.. I waited a year after the first model came out and I was not disappointed at all.
I have 100K on it and it is still going strong with little or no problems other than regular upkeep.

I bought it new in March of 2004
I have had regular maintenance performed I had to replace a tie rod at 55,000 miles. Other than that it has run good until they they put ethanol into the fuel. The engine would sputter when I tried to accelerate hard. I found a fuel additive that stopped this. It is Star Tron. It only takes 2 ounces with a 12 to 16 gallon fill up and I have not had a problem since.

Honda - unbeatable!!
Have had this vehicle (our 4th Honda) for 8 years, as with all our Hondas, the Pilot is really great. Very comfortable and extremely reliable! The Pilot is really a great vehicle , have done many trouble free miles with very low maintenance costs. Would not drive any other make - Honda, our first choice!

The best vehicle I have ever owned, Honda Pilot.
Hands down, my Honda pilot has been the highest quality vehicle I have ever owned in my 53 years of driving. I've only had to provide normal maintance for the 11 years of use thus far. It has provided me a wonderful driving experience and value beyond my exspactations. Way to go, Honda!
