Have had our 2024 Santa Cruz night edition for 2 years and am happy with our purchase. It well exceeds our expectations of a vehicle. It has taken us on several trips with minimal issues.

Evaluation

Enjoy the drive and liked overall except one annoying feature. The AC vent and airflow engineered poorly. Not able to redirect airflow away from face or upper body. Only a downward position of control prevents the airflow to become indirect. Poor engineering feature.

The vehicle basically does what I need it to do.

I wanted a vehicle that would carry large and sometimes sloppy items, and the Santa Cruz does that. The doors sound a bit tinny when being closed and the engine has a built-in flat spot that can be disconcerning, but otherwise it seems okay.

California Truck

When I worked at Hyundai in 2021, the Santa Cruz was only available out west. So I never seen any in the showroom. 3years later while searching for a more safer car, to my surprise I was offered to finance it. I took the deal without hesitation and been satisfied since.

Good concept with some design flaws

I love the concept of this vehicle but it has unfortunately been troublesome for me . Fuel injection, transmission, coolant leaks, suspension issues,oil leaks have been reoccurring with this vehicle. Even with warranty, the repair parts are not redesigned to correct the flaw, they are the same parts that fail over and over again .

I love the style and features but.....

I love the features, style, color and the way it handles but it has some issues for such a new car. I hate that it's not push start. The check rear brake light comes on even thought the light is working. The screen is quirky and shuts off, blinks and half the time it does not connect to devices. Also the rear camera stays on well after I am no longer in reverse.
